Rear mount radiator plumbing ?

I'm getting ready to plumb my rear mounted radiator and trying to come up with some ideas for getting coolant to the back of the rig. The way the truck was originally built plus some things that I have done are going to make this difficult. There is no clear path front to rear for any kind of tubing. That got me thinking about using stainless braided hose with AN fittings. Using these two fittings for the water pump and welding 16 AN fittings on the radiator.

Here are my concerns for this setup.

1) The inlet of the water pump is 1.5" and the outlet is 1.25". With 16 AN only measuring 1" will this be restricting flow to much if used for the whole cooling system.

2) I read that stainless hose holds heat and does not work well for a cooling system.

3) AN fittings are expensive

I ran mine in 1.5" conduit bent to match the frame rails

That's what I had to run on mine an fittings don't even compare to the price of the hose think it was right at 350 for hose but I have no problems with it got a 6.0 with dual pass rad running 4500 cfm fans she never gets over 210 while beating the **** out of it

Mine is hard piped under the buggy with it's own tube then connections are made with flex hose like this... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/spe-68188/overview/

there's different grades of marine hose, i didn't get the highest most expensive type, but the one i got is some tough stuff, double layer with two wire wrapes inside of it and rated to 350 degrees i think. i shopped around online for a long time and finally found it for around $200 for 1.5" x 20'

My next build will have the option for tubing or coolant will come through the chassis to make plumbing easier.

mine is run thru the chassis main rails with an fittings on both end's and small amount of braided hose. i have seen it a few other ways too. i've seen exhaust tubing used with a rolled end to keep a standard radiator hose on and it was run down one side. i think on rusty bray's newest rig jesse ran two thin wall tube down the center of the rig and it came out along side the intake then hoses where attached from there

My old buggy was aluminized 1.25" exhaust pipe bent to fit and it cooled 600hp just fine.

New buggy is run through the chassis and uses -16 Fragola hose to connect.

Guess I'll add this stuff to the growing parts list and order it when the money tree is full again. From the sites I've checked so far summit has the best prices on hose and fittings. If y'all know of anywhere that has better prices post em up!

got all mine from jegs them and summit are pretty much the same on price

I priced everything through jegs last night then checked summit and found that they were about $80 cheaper on the complete setup. Not a huge difference but it helps.

ran into this problem about 6 months ago... i'm using my lower frame rail on my chassis. had some exhaust tubing cut and bent to make it easy for short radiator hose to connect it. i can get you some pictures, if you want. easy, found radiator tubes to fit from any parts store....

My 22r is .40 over and I dont run a thermostat, stays 190 rasing pure hell with it 98* outside. and x2 on 1.5" conduit front to rear.
