Well I figured I would start a build on this little buggy I picked up a while back. A few people on here have seen this buggy hell a few have owned this buggy. It was built on extreme 4x4 but never finished and never completed by anyone. I think I am like the 4-5 owner from the time extreme sold it off. I bought it hoping I could just bolt on a few things and I would be riding in no time boy was I wrong. The buggy was built for tv not actually wheeled so there is quite a few things that need to be changed/fixed to make it right and hopefully I can get them done and still wheel this thing.

This is when I first got it and just starting to get into the build first got new tires and wheels and rebuilt transaxle and welded the diff and started to put it together

The rear steering was wrong the high steer arms were for the wrong side/pitch was backward so I just upgraded to some 6shooter knuckles on the rear to match the front also once I got the motor and trans in I realized that there had never been a trans mount built bc the way the seat bar was it prevented you from moving the transaxle so it has to be cut out to make a trans mount along with a make shift hanger bearing that wouldn't clear any yoke bc it would hit the chassis and a bunch of random tabs

Finally mad it into the hands of someone that will actually finish it
Maybe this thing is really testing my patients seems like I can't do anything without finding something that has to be cut and redo or fix something that should have been. It is all small stuff like shock tabs bind, air shock hits chassis, panhatd bar needs new mounts bc they have the roll center to high, or dumb stuff like got rcv hubs and didn't put in the dowel Pins which is what makes it a good upgrade, didn't even keep them I had to order some

A few issues been working on hope to have it as a complete roller in a few weeks got to redo the front shock mounts and the front and rear panhard on axle and frame also got to check steering to see if it will clear

Looks good.

You€™re just too picky :stir: expecting things to €œwork€

got a few little things done like all the shocks remounted where they clear chassis and the correct bump height. Can anyone that knows about 3link tell me the do's and don'ts of panhard mounting bc I need to raise the axle mount and lower the frame mount but will need to move it out of parallel plane of the chassis on or just stick boith the chassis and axle mount out front further to clear

I see you have a few panhard questions. I don't have answers, but other questions for you.

Why do you think the roll center is too high ? It's pretty good to have a high roll center for a crawler right ?
Also, panhard bar should be parallel to the axle, mostly for strength reason and not apply weird load to the chassis I'd say. But in the end, I don't see why a crooked panhard would be terrible at low speed?

Well I am going off of what rock ape seemed to think made his work better and also I do know with low speed crawler you dont want A lot of forces going into the chassis due to the light weight not being able to counteract it as much. Also everything I read said you want the panhard flat at ride height that way it won't bumpsteer the axle side to side as bad and won't act on the chassis as much due to it being in the middle of its arch

If rock ape said so, I would ted to follow his suggestion.
For the panhard, behing parrallel to the ground at ride height is a given. I meant side to side in my post.

Enzo I think I might have misspoke or misunderstood but I am looking for a higher roll center (that is why I want to move the axle mounts up) but I am worried that I might need to change the frame mount as well to accommodate the new bar angle and to keep using the bling links that came with this thing but the questions I have are more to what is to much and how far from parallel can I go without issues and how far from axle centerline is acceptable

As you can see in this pic the only way I can get that axle mount up I will have to move the whole panhard forward which will make it in front of the axle centerline
