Did a test fit of my new bag. I need to dial it in still on location. Bag is a
http://www.giantloopmoto.com/
coyote version. I have it stuffed with towels, and it will likely be smaller once I load it with some tools, a tube, clothes and tent. My sleeping bag and pad are not bike travel friendly, but I don't camp enough to warrant buying a smaller packing version.

Hope one of you has a GPS coming up. I found 3 Lake Wappapello Waypoints.
Campground is at N36 56.533 W90 20.664
I am starting my route from there. Looks like it's considerably flatter to the south. So the better roads will be north or northwest whatever we are feeling. I am working on some routes now. TOTALLY winging it.
there is a pipeline running through it so I am hoping there is an easement that is open to ride. THAT will be the best options I think
Route #1 tester is a mere 35 miles (Plus the ride back to camp...guessing another 20ish) 1.5 hour ride. I think we can hit the western part of this section of Mark Twain if we are feeling it.

This is a total guess but, the NF roads around here are gravel and the CR are small paved roads. I assume its the same everywhere. The Mark Twain Forest just to the west appears to have more NF roads and more accessible roads in and out of the park, if we stayed at Big Spring State Park.
FYI, we went to the local NF this weekend. We were out for 10 hours (5 bikes) and covered 180 miles. About 100 of that was asphalt.

He'll be riding in the middle of the pack.
I got all my blinkers and what nots bolted on today. All I need now is the inspection.

He's not joking, I watched him pass a car in 3rd gear doing a controlled speed stand up wheelie. I believe he used blinkers as well.
I have an issue with behaving on mine as well... Im getting better at the wheelies

its damn fun to look at peoples faces when you wheelie up behind them, whip out beside them, then slow down n give them a look... all while on the back tire...

Soooooo it's around the corner. I'll be there around noon Friday I suspect or earlier. I am cumming solo also.
P and his buddy Danny will be there Friday after work, so LATE
David and company will be getting a spot for a camper right?
Same with Haley? How many from 'Bama?
Hoping when I get there I can get the tent sites near the sites with hookups for David and Haley. Just wanting to get an idea on how many to tell them are showing. I haven't reserved shit and hadn't planned on it. Hope that works out, can't imagine it will be full mid April yet
Might have a POS moped for getting to the shitter as well

I haven't decided if i'm bringing the camper yet. I may just tent it.
I have a set of Kenda 270's on right now. I may change to D606's or T63's before the trip.
I'm off work Friday and Monday. I'll probably leave Thursday after work. I'll hotel it somewhere close to the park and drive in Friday Morning.

If I had an extra bike I'd swing by and pick ya up.
David, just rock the 270's. I never had an issue with those tires and the riding I do. I do no anticipate any single track style stuff, but you never know. My idea of a ride may differ from y'alls. We will just play it all by ear and have a good time. I have a shit ton of cheap ass beer I am bringing if it's still around.

I am getting those next.
Pirelli MT21 rear with 6-700 miles on it.
Would you run these front pads with a chunk missing?
