Jellico, TN Rocky Top offroad park

our local club had a private ride up in Jellico, TN this last weekend. The park has some awesome trails and they are still building more trails. we were the first group to run of the newest trails there. Friday was bitter cold all day, woke up to 18 deg temps and prolly didnt get over 35. it was a very uneventful day for most of us, but some the smaller tire guys were having issues on the muddy, steep hills. The trail we were on was supposed to be an easy trail for everyone, well we only made it to the halfway point by 4pm, so the descision was made to turn around and go back out....so basically it was pretty boring for the heavily built guys, but no carnage for us so that is a good thing.
Saturday we split our group up so the hardcore guys could hit some nasty trails. The weather was awesome and got up to about 50 and sunny. we definitely wheeled hard Saturday, with very little carnage. I have ALOT of body damage now, since all the trails were very tight. I ended up flopping on the last trail in the last 30 min of wheelin...lol just a dumb mistake on my part, it happens.
Sunday, more of the same...wheeled hard all day with no carnage.

this weekend is prolly the hardest I have been on my rig and I am very pleased with how the new suspension/bumps are working out. most of us only had to pull cable a couple of times, but my buddy in his under powered Zuki on 38.5s didnt pull cable all weekend and he took all the same hard lines we did, that thing makes our high HP rigs look stupid sometimes...here are some pics. once some more pics and vids start showin up, I will post them up.

I was just up there in the middle of January and hit the same trails. Calamity and the race course were a handful for everyone. We were up their with the owner of all that property and got a personal tour of the joint. Great place for sure. Your truggy looks awesome Brian. Did ya'll stay at the Jellico motel?

I've heard good things about the park but don't understand ... is it the same place that they have the competitions? Is it open any time or like Grayrock, certain times only?

Yes it is the same place, as we drove the competition course for fun. There is lots of different trails to go to and some nasty stuff, but most of all, beautiful scenery. I did not see it like an ORV park as we parked off the side of the road and drove in from there, but I could be wrong.

we got the personal tour as well, which was cool. the Weavers are GREAT people for sure. They are trying to make it into a full blown park, but it is taking some time to get trails laid out.

we played around on the comp course as well, I hit the table top a few times to test out the new bumps. There are some NASTY climbs there. I will definitely go back there. we stayed at the Days Inn in Jellico, parked the tow rigs there and drove the rigs back and forth to the trail.

Thanks for the pics. We spent a full day there and only completed 1.5trails back in August. Heading back up in a couple weeks for the open ride. The place is definetly designed for more serious crawlers.

ya, they have some badass trails there. we didnt get to do Chaos, since they havent had any of the locals run it since they had those winter storms come through. I guess they had a ton of trees down in the area and they still havent cleared all the trails. might bring a chain saw just in case. we had to pull a few tress outta the way on the last day and the first couple of days our guide had a saw and he cleared a few out of the way for us.

the new air bumps worked awesome, I am please with how well they soaked that up. I noticed on the bump shafts that I still had about an inch of travel left in them.

The park is going to be open 3/26-3/28 anyone else planning on going?
