I use the "Grant" steering wheel removal security system..... Still have my jeep!! :D (knock on wood)

i may b wrong, but the track bar just connects the axle to the frame and is not connected to the 'y' bar steering, it just keeps the axle centered under the truck. the "y" bar setup is for steering, yes the seperate tie rod and drag link assembly is a better upgrade though

specs: engine 401 AMC tranny 727 tourqueflite xcase dana 300 axles dana 44 front and rear spooled rear/lockrite front gears 5.89's disk brakes all the way around(still working on rears) sprung over 36" tsl/sx's no super extreme wheeler, but way over kill for the web-wheelin I do...

OK, been a while. scrapped the 74 cj5 plans and sold off the parts. GOt a cj7 frame and tub from someone on here and started again

going to hit up the local wrecking yards tomorrow see what clean dry not rusty parts look like :flipoff: Havent done much, still to far from the toolbox. I start it once in awhile to annoy the neighbors :haha:
