So since the Saturn is totalled, I've been looking at various budget cars to replace it. Initially. I was set on a Camry purely for reliability , but have been giving others a look too. Factors: I would like to stay at $7k or less, preferably less. Miles up to 100-120k in order to get a nicer newer car on the cheap. Saturn had 185k and was mechanically perfect. I want something with that kind of reliability. I don't care to replace little things here and there, but want rock solid reliability otherwise. So am I crazy for looking at anything other than a 4 cyl Camry (2007-2011 body style)? Anybody know much about the newer-ish Malibu 2.4L Ecotec reliability? Found this 2010 Malibu LTZ with 112k miles for $6400, which sounds almost too good to be true. Found some other LTZ's with comparable miles all priced over $8k. https://huntsville.craigslist.org/cto/d/chevy-malibu-ltz-looks/6231935389.html The LTZ Malibu is much more loaded than the one notch above base trim Camry LE's in same price range, and I like the Malibu's overall appearance as well. Camry is still viable option, just want to discuss further with you guys and hopefully gain some insight here. I would also love to have a Lexus IS250/IS350, but don't think I want anything labeled luxury, as luxury generally means expensive parts/maintenance. They are super sharp cars imo though. Note: I'm also aware the Accord is really reliable, but they just don't do anything for me, so not really considering them. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
