Well my dumb ass posted this in for sale section on accident, sorry bout that. What i wanted to see was if anyone had bad experiencs with particular brands of gears?? Wondering what to stay away from!! About to pull the trigger and dont wanna make a mistake on these.. Im sure many run Yukon gears, but I'd rather not purchase anymore Yukon products. Let me know if ya have any info!! Thanks fellas.

I ran richmond pro gears but have got very mixed reviews from other people. I never broke a set.

Broke two sets of factory GM and one set of yukons. This was all in a D60 chevy.

Running Richmond Pro in my Chevy Dana 60 as well .....heard some people say "no" too. :dunno:
No problems yet. :driving:

Somthing tells me if the richmond gears held up for you guys they would be just fine for me. Now install kits. What could the difference be for some to be under 100 buks and some are dam near 250 or so! Wtf. Thanks so much fellas.

Most of the time the difference is brand of bearings. Such as timken vs koyo type deal. And same with gaskets and seals.

Everybody may laugh but I am telling you if you are building a D60 buy a lubelocker gasket for the cover. It is nice to put it together with no RTV or mess. Be able to pull it apart on the trail and not deal with all the same mess. Just make sure to clean it up very good of old gasket and such before putting it together.

Ill check it out! I been using "the right stuff". Works great, really fun to to get it all off too! Ha. Im all about the rubber gaskets that can be used over and over. It only took about 5 gaskets to figure out that it has to be perfectly clean! Ha.

I agree. It is nice to have diffs that don't drip for a change.

I've been running Yukons for years with no troubles. Setup plays a big part in gear life and strength. It doesn't take much improper engagement to substantially weaken a gear set.

Excuse my ignorance here but, why do you not wanna use Yukon again?
No ignorance... Just not impressed with yukon's "hardcore hubs" that are on my rig, (actually would trade them for some nice flanges), and the customer service blows from what i have heard from others on here and other sites . I dont know, they are high as hell on everything and just figured there was some stuff out there thats reasonable and beef also. I dont have a **** ton, but Most here have alot of experience of giving parts hell, and aint skeered to give good advice. :dblthumb:

I have no idea who is setting them up for you but this above is. "The whole truth and nothing but the truth" no matter what gears you buy.

People make fun of me for payin for gaskets for my diffs. The reason I went to them was after a few good rock shots the silicone starts leaking. I love my lubelockers :****:
