My Nightmare

Well here is my never ending Nightmare of a project.

I bought the truck about a year ago and ever since I have owned it, it has done nothing but consume my money and time. But it's all worth it when you are out on the trail!!!! :D

The specs:

-79' Toyota Pickup
-Dual radiators
-350 small block backed by a turbo 350 and advance adapters plate mated to a toyota transfer case.
-Yukon gears and Detroit lockers front and rear
-High steer and IFS box
- All-Pro 5" Super flex Springs up front, Rancho/CJ mix spring pack in the rear w/ Terra-Flex Shackles.
-38" TSL SX on 15" Black steel wheels
-the list goes on.......................


Now for the metamorphosis:

The truck is getting a complete redo right now as we speak.

-I am putting in dual transfercases, Longfield Birfs and Axles, new seats w/ 5 point harnesess, the bed is gone and the rear end is getting all tubed out, new sliders, new bumpers, rear winch, new long travles shocks and new hoops in front and rear and a full exo cage around the front. I'm sure there are a few things I'm missing that I will add along the way.

Here is a pick of the truck before. i will post more pics when I get home tonight of the build.

The main radiator upfront runs the stock way. The rear one runs a little different. You put a Y tub in the hoses that run to the Heater core and run 2 seperate hoses back, main and the return. The tranny cooler is also back there too. And a big electric fan cools the works. You can't run the whole truck off of it but it does help a lot when you don't have any air flowing through the front radiator.
 
I would run it at full capacity with the front rad, but I'm not sure if I'd run parallel or series. If you run series, then essentially the rear rad would be a backup. You would want a seperate temp switch for the rear fan for when the front wasn't cutting it.

Well Here is the new transformation to the rig!!

Gona get out this weekend!! Finally for wheelin season. I have a few last minute touches to do to her before the weekend, but she is ready once again. NEW and IMPROVED!!!!

Trailering it?
Yes of course I'm trailering it!!! It took me 2 times to figure out that a trailer is a must!!!

Yeah I was out wheeling with you guys when my rad blew. But that won't happen anymore!! No more manual fan. Electric Only!

Thanks guy's for the compliments!!! Hope it wheels as good as it looks right now. LOL
