I know there are a lot of guys on here that are sharp on the 12v upgrades. I have a stock tranny, just running Amsoil in it. I know I have to do the BD parts etc. to it before I go too far. I have the 4" exhaust and other that that it is stock. to just give it a little tweek before I do the tranny. what do you suggest?? governor springs? fuel plate? injectors? I don't have aftermarket guages either. so I have no way to monitor my EGT's!

guages first , fuel plate, then governor spring. Have fun its a slippery slope, once you start theres no end...:haha: :haha: :haha:

and for more info nwbombers.com

Gauges and a big old trans cooler before anything else.

Have you done the KDP fix yet?

GAUGES first!!!! the worst thing you can do is not know the temps of the tranny and the EGTs....after that then do the BHAF, fuel plate ,gsk..and so on..you can do a cheep lockup switch on the tranny that will help, and i think theres a cheap mod for increasing the tranny line pressure also that will help the stock auto live a little longer...also this site is full of info...

If its a stock auto I would put a new trans as first thing on the list. If you turn it up the trans will die really fast.

Then its fuel plate, injectors, delivery valves, twins turbos, head studs, o-rings, 4-5" exhaust,

fully erect doesn't know what he's talking about.. it's studs THEN twins.. And if ya go small twins ya don't even need the o-ring.

I forgot about timing, and jeffy..............yes its twins, then head studs and o-rings, because you don't need them until after you blow a head gasket.:flipoff:

OK tranny and guages then fuel plate. I just don't know if putting 7k into a 1997 to get it up to snuff is smart. I still have to upgrade the crappy steering! I replaced the drag link with the alloy one = $400 and who did you guys go with for a decent steering box and did you convert your "Y" steering linkage to the tie rod and drag link? my steering is terrible!

98 came with the "T" steering setup, so you can try and find one of those.. I have a DSS (Braces the shaft on the steering box), DT Profab track bar and DT Pro fab control arms.. and 7K.. hell that's a tranny and a turbo..

12 V

So I just tore the interior out because this thing has a leak, I replaced the rear 3rd brake light housing gasket and was told it is probably the rear slider. anyone have this same problem?
