• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

deflowered

Got some rocker bars on. They are 2x3 quarter wall boxtube. There are three 1.75x .250wall dom tubes supporting each side. I cut off the ends at an angle and capped them with some 2x.250 flatbar.

Put a rear bumper on after the rockers. It is constructed of 1/4 wall 4x4 box tubing. It has the ends capped. The middle is notched out and plated in with flatbar to make a relief for the license plate. It looks similar to a stock step bumper but extremely strong. Underneath is two loops welded on for tow/recover points aswell as a reciever if needed. I slid 3 inch channel iron inside the framrails and notched the roll pan area of the bed to clear the bumper supports. Then welded on the bumper.:cheer:

I used some 3.5 inch box and cut a couple of hangers out. I cut it at an angle and then hunted around the shop until I found these sweet thrust washers out of a toyota diff. they were perfect to trace with the plazma cutter to get the radius I needed to round them off. Then I drilled some holes in them. after that I welded them to the frame in a location 12 inches foward of the stock hanger, to accomadate the 63inch chevy springs. In the back I cut off the stock shackle mounts/hangers and moved them back a few inches and welded them back on, painted them, put new bushing in and put in all together!:cheer: :D

Got the shifter hole cut with a hole saw and tin snips.

Then decided it was time for thickwall driveshafts. Notice old one starting to pretzel! An hour later I had two.:cheer:

I think its time to lose the bed. It is always getting in the way.:haha:

I got a set of heims for the uppers so they are adjustable and am using JohnyJoints and bushing on the lowers. The lowers will be 3/8 wall and the uppers will be 1/4 wall.:awesomework:

I am going to attach it to a Trail Gear RockAssault housing (eagerly awaiting the rockassault front next). I figured it wasnt going to be long before bending the pre-85 rear housing. Now I can ditch the rear wheel spacers too.:bling:

Got a good deal on a pair of 18 inch F-O-A remote resi 2.0 coilovers. (thanks body damage) :D :beer:
They have 150s over 250s. Have to see how the rates pan out.

Anyone need a blue 2nd gen bed?:corn::redneck:
