M mark Well-Known Member Joined May 8, 2006 Messages 2,201 Location Woody-ville! May 14, 2009 #3 78, 79,are the change over years. I have a '78 3/4T with a 10-bolt in the front, but I've heard/seen 79's with D44's in the front. After '79 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons both got 10-bolts, so 6 lug ot 8 lug.
