11K deckover build

thats cool brad, looks like it could have used a third axle. It amazes me how you build everything overkill but yet two little bolts hold the hitch coupler on.

:awesomework:

I dont think Ill ever haul anything heavier than the stomper (stomper 7500# + trailer 3500# = 11,000#). If I ever haul anything heavier Ill by a set of heavier axles and build a bigger trailer with the 8" Ibeam I have here!:D Next one will tilt, and I can build it for less than what I can sell this one for!

I had nothing to do with the coupler. I wasnt happy with the 10k coupler so this one I used is a 14K bulldog. I was told it was one of the best. :awesomework: My truck has a 2.5" reciever tube also. As beefy as I can get it. Its rated for 3k more than it should ever see.:;

Three alxes eat tires and add more bearing to pack!:redneck: Next one is going to be a two axle 14-18k, 26 foot tilt deck goose neck. Ive already been sketchin it out!:cool:

Got a little more done. :D
I got the tongue jack all mounted. I stuck it between some 1/4" plate top and bottom. :cheer:

Looks good Brad! :awesomework:

Thanks!! :cool:

Here is Jack checking out the brakes and bearings. :;

The axles appear to have never have been used, ever. The brakes were brand new and the magnets still had the machining visible through the surface rust. I took them to the bench and wire wheeled the magnets before reinstalling them. The grease looked like new so we didnt bother packing them. Jack then wired in the brakes while he was at that end of the axles.

Thanks Bud!:beer:

Got the taillight holes and clearance trio holes in the middle and the rest of the side markers cut out.

Then I got the tail supports done next. They fill in between the frame and dovetail and support the rear.

Just a couple of oxy/acet cuts. This whole trailer was built the old school way. In a driveway with a torch, welder and a grinder.:awesomework:

I towed it around today and yesterday. I took it and weighed it this morning.

It came in at 3340 lbs empty all done.:cheer:

#3000 was the goal and I was seeing them online around 3200-3600. Since I overbuild everthing I figured it was gonna top 3500!!

I am happy with it right inbetween.:awesomework:

Gooseneck?..........I'm guessing because he has a canopy on the truck which he can sleep-in, campout out of on wheelin' trips, plus cheaper and quicker to get the trailer finished. Plus I can borrow it if needed......right B-rad? :awesomework:

Towed it to elbe today. It towed great!! I am way pleased.:D

It was loaded up with my toyota fresh outa the shop with a new dual case and new diff armor!!

Thanks for the weekend TG delivery Odie!:awesomework: That crossmeber and dual adapter worked great!!:cheer:

Honestly I cant think of anything. I even asked the ol lady and she couldnt bitch about it either.

The only problem I had was two broken leafsprings. They were the wrong ones to begin with so I wasnt surprised. Put all 4 new ones in and its good.

Feel free to come look at it anytime. I should have built it years ago. I get compliments everywhere with it.

Its been all over the state and works great. :awesomework:
