Manastash Memorial weekend '09

Mark you should head up with us we will be there the 10 thru the 18 we have no buggies but you have wheeled with us before

Might it be possible to reach the 4w330 in 2 weeks? Our club is heading up there then.

The snow is melting very fast now. I imagine in a couple weeks it might mostly be clear up there.

I'm not sure why we did not drop into the bottom of the rocks. The snow gets very slushy from noon till the evening. Barber Springs made getting there a great time. Our group being the kind that does not like to slow down or stop just made it savage. Plenty of body damage to go around, as the videos will attest to. By the time we got to the Rocks around noon Friday all we could think about is how much fun it was going to be getting back to camp.

Having spent every weekend for the last two months at Reiter (with the occasional jaunt to Elbe for the Busy) running on completely different terrain was very refreshing. :D

We rolled into the rocks as the first group thru the Tripod side Saturday evening around dark and saw your tracks at the top of the rocks, but nobody had been down into the rocks yet.

were you part of the seriously :rb: group heading up tripod on saturday night, that wouldn't air your tires down from 30PSI and held us up on the the hill after the bridge for TWO FRICKIN HOURS?!?!?!

sorry, heard good things about you personally but that group pissed me off

Nope, that wasn't us... we sat at the bottom of the hill across the bridge for almost 3 hours before we got moving.... and we weren't up across the bridge Saturday night, but we were there probably from around 11ish to about 2ish on Saturday DAY.

that saucer was way more fun on the rocks than the rigs would have been. our plan was to go down tripod but goin up that hill across from the rocks that had been sun-baking all day woulda soaked way too much time up i bet.
was a perfect day trip. thanks for posting the pics maxx:beer:
