WOW is having a work party at Evans Creek in July 18 & 19.
Goals will be:

1. Spread gravel on 7920 road.
2. Install trail markers.
3. Clean fire pits in camp ground.
4. Finish clearing 520 trail.
5. Pick up garbage.

Every one is welcome, come up help out, clean trails and hang out.
See you there.
:awesomework:

I hate to work on my birthday, but I may have to for this one, haha.

I was thinking about going up that weekend and camping, since my B-day is the following Tuesday. So looks like I'll probably be there for the clean up as well.
I'll try and convince my cousin (he won't take much convincing) and a couple of our friends to show up and help too (we all use Evans Creek a lot)

I wont work you to hard, you gotta have some fun , after all its your B-Day weekend. Thanks for the help.

Anybody coming out to lend a hand? Weather is going to be nice , work a little, wheel a little.

I will be up there Friday and Sat night camping and wheelin on saturday and maybe some on Sunday. I don't know about spreading gravel, but we will do our part to pick up trash and help in the campground. Have 2 rigs coming up Friday night and some others coming up for the day on Saturday. Red crew cab Silverado, blue trailer, black yota flatbed, and a " cousin Eddy" :redneck:motorhome. And army green toyota. Hope to be in the campground by 8:beer:

We will be starting at 9:00 at the day use parking lot. I will have day use passes for those who are helping. Lunch will be served Saturday. See you all there!

Evans is really looking nice this year. First time I have wheeled there and only came home with half a garbage bag full of someone elses garbage. :cheer::cheer::cheer:

A couple trail numbers have changed. Anyway someone can scan a copy of the revised map and post it? I forgot to get a copy.

Wait, what numbers have changed??
I don't know of any off hand, so it would be news to me.

I usually grab things If I see it, or am out of the truck (so far this year, the bigger things are 2 bumpers, a 3 foot chunk of exhaust pipe, and an engine block). It sucks but I'm almost leary to pick up beer cans being that I an only 18. The ranger up there didn't believe me last time when I picked some up in the camp ground (it was actually down at the creek), and said I found them down by the creek, like I did, even though the cans were all dirty and I had about 5 of them, he didn't seem to believe me...

The first WOW work party at Evans Creek was a success. The 7920 road got some much needed gravel, trail markers were installed, reader boards painted and mud holes filled in. The Forest rangers were very impressed with how hard working our groups is. They wish that other user groups would be so dedicated. I will be trying to arrange another load of gravel, when I do i will post up.
Thanks everybody that came up and helped out. Those efforts go along way to keeping our ORV parks open.:awesomework:

Here is a few pics. The two pics at the bottom are at the 198/102 intersection where some people feel the need to try to climb that bank. It goes nowhere and looks like shiat so we found some down cut up trees and drug them over there.

The one that I know for sure that is different was the 198A that is now the 196. I am not possitive about the other what look like changed trail number on the map that was givin to us by the FS. It was part of the 198 by the 197 that look like they wanted to be 197. I left it 198. I have seen three different maps now of Evans and in that general area a couple trails are numbered differently on all three maps. I am not going to make a big deal about it. I have been going there for a long time and know my way around.

I picked up a bag full of garbage on June 27th. Seems we are all fixing the place up. :awesomework:
