• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

22re Rebuild

Most people with half a ****ing brain take the block to the machine shop first THEN order the parts to fit the machine work. not the other way around.

:edit: If you are looking for someone to bore it .010 over I'm sure a shop will do it and send you on your merry way but you are better off taking the block down and seeing what it actually needs instead of setting yourself on a .010 overbore. machine work is the single most important step of a rebuild, if you skimp there it is detrimental to the longevity of the engine. Machine work done right and attention to detail upon assembly leads to durabilty and longevity. :awesomework:

well most people dont have a hook up like i do at the parts store so i can take back whatever and get it swapped plus i know why the motor was overheating (cracked head) which is all that was wrong with it. all the rest is just might as well kinda **** like getting the block and crackshaft looked at if your going to do something might as well do it right the first time. Next time you troll my thread at least bring something relevant:awesomework:

well thank you:beer: but you also would have been better off reading post #14 in its entirety im taking it to Jays as soon i i get the crankshaft out so he can look at it the only reason i said 10 over is an in case kinda deal, it would be nice if i could just get it honed since i have a hone and then put it back together.

also i have another 22re short block that i know needs to be bored since i had to beat the piston out with a hammer so extra parts are always a plus to have:awesomework:

Once again thank you for genuine help
