I was just there Friday, and they had a no vehicles marker on the v-notch. I was gonna try something crazy and fully intended to try it. I was bummed, my wife was relieved ;-). Anybody on here know why it was closed. A friend of mine said it was open last Saturday, so they must have just done it?

I was at the DNR meeting on Tuesday. We talked about the V-notch but nothing at all was said about it being closed.

Somebody's bad idea of a joke. There was mention of another sign in that area being altered, but none of it was by DNR.

Bummer, I could have given it a shot! Ah, I am just a F/R locked jeep TJ, probably would have wound up on my lid! we figured on doing the old strap and winchline trick, but probabably better off not put my DD through that. It ran everything else without issue, except I lost a bead on the egg rock. Thank goodness for OBA, hit it with air and bumped it over the rock.
This was the first run with the front ARB and yukon chromos, Awesome!

Yes I decided to go with it, it ran flawlessly! took all of the nasty lines, and whipped em' all. 33s are all a guy needs, the only thing it didn't own was the v-notch. I struggle quite a bit at the egg rock on the expressway but I had a tire that was completely flat and spinning on the rim.

Nice thing about those toyos, it was stiff enough that it didn't come off of the rim. Just spun. We put a little air in it, and when we got back up to the top, pulled it off and cleaned the bead.

The other issue now is that the backside of the top is so dug out that the breakover angle is going to be pretty rough on drivelines for a vehicle like yours.

Nevermind, i just figured it out!:redneck:
that's actually just above Expressway, on Upper Mainline, just before you end up on the landing...

Is this "EGG ROCK?"

Your both correct...It is "Egg Rock" and it is towards the top of "Rons Run" which originally was "Jeep Cross".

Thats on the old jeep cross trail not far from the top of the climb(with all the brick layed on the ground). I remember driving over it and smacking the tree on the right side of the rock.

No that isn't the egg rock, the egg rock is on the last leg of expressway as you are on your way up. It narrows as an egg does so if you climb it high side (with wet tires) you'll end up low side hung on a tree. It looks easy on approach, but I have seen alot of guys get messed up bad on it.
I will try to come up with some pics of it?

I thought this was egg-rock although the other one definately looks more like an egg.... :redneck:
