Please attend the work party on the 7/16 if you are able!!!!

Be at Dear flats road gate at 9:30. Please plan extra time as you will need to drive through Index in order to get to Deer flats road. Please bring your PPE's (gloves, work, clothing, eye and hearing protection).

So after lots of thought I think that the area in Red would be a good goal for this work party. The trails have been cleared once before last year, so it should go fast.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas that would take priority

Was a GOOD day out in the woods...:awesomework:
RRReeeeaaaallllllyyy lookin' forward to the day...:;
will give a short synopsis once I wake up from the ded...:haha:

Do we know if the hours from these work parties will count towards the D-Pass yet? Last I heard they were still trying to figure out the details of what volunteer hours counted.

Sure hope they do...It'll put me almost 1/2 way to a pass.
Myself and oil can went down and helped out last Friday (7/1), and I am very optimistic of what the New Reiter will have to offer...:awesomework:

x2!!!!

The peps I have talked to about the Reiter work parties, the work parties will not be for hours towards a disc pass.

Then ask them what exactly will count towards a discovery pass. The DNR could help themselves tremendousely by pulling their heads out on this. Public opinion of the DNR is very low and they're not doing themselves any favors.

So today David and I walked the trails and cut dead trees up getting ready for the work party this week end. Looks like the week end is going to be nice.

Does anyone have easy directions through Index to get to Deer Flats road? If someone could meet me somewhere so I could follow them in that would cool too. I'll bring my standard trail building tools and equipment. See ya'll there.

Go to Index
when you cross the bridge into index go straight at the first stop
Left at the second stop
cross the tracks
go straight till the next stop
right, then go on that road till you cross the tracks
go past the *road closed * sign and in about 3 miles I think

you will see deer flats road on your right

Also it looks like a group is going out for a work party on Sunday also to mark the tight and twisty trail. I know that is going to be a long day and could use some help there

Thanks dude. That should get me there. If I get lost in Index I'll remember not to make eye contact with the locals.

I am working this weekend so I'll need to exit depart leave around 1:00pm or so. Sunday is out for me.

Not a prob, glad to see you get out there

Thanks to everyone for yesterday and if you are in the area today, stop on by. There will be a few people out there clearing the tight and twisty trail today

Saturday was a good day. Feels good just being up there again. More than likely I'll make the next couple work parties too. See everyone there.
