Just in case anyone was wondering what's been going on at Elbe this summer here's a quick recap.

The DNR (Nancy) decided to set the 2nd Sat of every month as a regulaly scheduled work party. Since June we've had 3 wp's and attendance has been piss poor at best. WTF however has kept up our efforts to show the DNR that at least a few are willing to work to keep the system open.

The June work party we used DNR's mini to open up an old skid road to the middle of the Easywild in order to gain truck access to dump loads of rock close to the trail. We then continued adding the stockpiled rock to the swampy area on the bottom of the main line. It was too wet and the going was slow so we consolidated two smaller rock piles on the road to make a small rock pile to play on. It's located just below the Hillclimin' Hillbillies camp.

The July wp the mainline had dried out so we again hauled in rock to the bottom until we ran out. We then proceeded to haul bigger rock into the Alder and place on the "Ed Bister Death Drop". The shear face that was eroded away is now doable but still pretty legit. (see pics of samurai)

Last weekend was the Aug wp and once again WTF was there in force to make the trails better. We hauled in a bunch of the newly delivered rock into the Easywild getting a good start to a short rock crawl. This load of rock was pretty good sized stuff so after 12 or so loads my poor truck started falling to pieces. We decided to build a log climb stair step next to the rock crawl. I think it turned out pretty good. All this is at the bottom of the steep hill on the Easywild Trail.

Awesome work guys. I totally spaced the WP last weekend. I'll be out there tomorrow around noon to wheel the weekend away so I'll go check it out.

Lots of good work there, thanks WTF for keeping up the work. That all looks like very good stuff.

So the next WP will be the 14th of Sept?

Unfortunately, Monroe Prison Break is the same weekend as the next WP so we'll be in Monroe for the weekend but we usually make it up at some point during the month. We have a lot more rock to haul in to the Easy.

Nancy or Lacy will still be at the campground Sept 14th at 9am ready to go! :awesomework:

I just herd from a friend that went to Elbe today that someone shot up the bath rooms and trashed and broke a bunch of stuff at the camp ground.does any know about this and was it just done or has it been like that for a while. Dam punks anyways.and he said the shooting area was full of trash.
