Anyone know a local place to put my computer back to stock and delete the shitty bulldog crap off of it? Called the dealership but they are closed till Monday. Hopefully someone who doesn't cost an arm and a leg

Either way the program pulls out the program currently in the truck and adds in it's new program. No different than switching from a tow tune to a race tune without going back to stock in between. My truck has never been back to stock since the first 100 miles of it's life now just over 180000mi. and I've switched tunes in the truck pry hundreds of times between towing and just not wanting the full race file in it with zero issues and after my last tuner was stolen I don't even own a stock file anymore with zero issues caused from it.
Of course like I said in the first bit the bullydog should have his stock tune in it unless he no longer has the unit otherwise a quick retune would put him back to stock.

What happens when you want to go back to stock to make sure the tune isn't effing with your truck?

My bullydog does have a stock mode on the tuner itself but I don't trust it so I'm reflashing no matter what

That is the stock program from your truck it has nothing to do with the bullydog. It works by pulling out the stock tune... well parts of it then replaces it with it's own. So by returning to stock mode it is in fact reflashing your truck with its original programming. So you are paying Ford 150$ to put back the flash that is on your bullydog.
Why are people still messing with tuners? A chip is the only way to fly on a Ford. None of this waiting around for 20 minutes to switch between tunes. No tuner to risk getting stolen, and WAY for customization options that match your truck exactly.
I actually have a bullydog chip burner and software, but I've never been able to make it work. I think I needed a bullydog specific chip, and all I had were old TS chips.

Love my PHP tunes. The best thing is when pulling up a grade while towing and EGT's start to get hot I switch to a lower HP setting on the fly and keep on cruising.
I also like having the High Idle for warm up or using my winch to pull timber from the woods.
The TS chips are awesome. PHP also does a great job with the fuel, you dont get a tone of :rb: black smoke, turns to a grey haze right as the turbo lights.

I agree chop with a 7.3 there is no other way to go. Now as you get to the 6.0 they cannot control the transmission which meant you either destroyed your transmission or bought a sct and had transmission only tunes written for it. As far as the newer trucks the only "chips" I believe offered are good old daddy Banks and I think we know how that ends :haha:

haha nice! Is that the PHP Hydra? or did you go with another company other than PHP.
I did the PHP phoenix on my truck cause i didnt have the need/want for the Hydra at the time. The Hyda is cool though, when i get into bigger Injectors, HPOP and fuel system ill go with the Hydra, i like that you can run multiple companies tunes on it.
One tip of advise, be patient when cleaning the contact strip on your ECU. I thought i had it 3 different times, not till the 4th time of peeling even more of the clear glue off i finally got it to work properly. Some of mine are down to the gold and it still works great.
Edit: I just realized it said Tony Wildman at the bottom of your tune list. I have not tried his tunes but i hear good things about them. too many companies out there, this why id like to get a Hydra eventually.

Yes sir it's from tony and tuned by tony....I'm excited to see how they do. It was the best deal I could find to be honest 425 for it with all their tunes I picked ....stupid cheap IMHO
