I will say I was extremely pleased with the new meats..
I have ran 2 sets of Iroks and will say that IMO they are the best all around tire you can buy. I ran them all the time at 4psi in the front and 3 in the rear with trailreadybeadlocks with no issues. This was on my 3k buggy, you will have to experiment with tire pressure as rig weight will effect tire rollover at very low psi on sidehills, tread is soft compound for hookup, and the sidewalls are very tough (bias). I would say this is a big upgrade over your old tsl's. Saying that they will wear out faster on the porous rocks of Funny/moon but last long in woods.

Your crawl ratio is going to suck with stock gears and a th350. Anything technical is going to be an awful experience. I ran a stock 300 in Canada and a couple other places, and had to bump everything that others were crawling. Once I switched to 4/1 gears I walked every part I struggled with.

Agreed Mike, if your not running a doubler case 4-1 gears are a necessary upgrade.

No doubt. For just a bit more than the cost of the adapter a dd machine crawl box that is built to go between the th350 and 300 will drop it down another 2.72:1.

Also if I remember right jb's has the best deal on 300 twin sticks. Stainless and around $80.

Never even thought about gears..

Who besides AA is making them?
I have always used JB Conversions for my 4-1 gear sets. Never had an issue. Personally I have never been a fan of using a crawlbox unless your massively underpowered(Toy 4 cylinder etc).

I do not wanna use a crawl box--wanna get rid of that..

Ya still a little ways out--gotta get rigs thru the shop..

But the typical 5.38's..
Trailer queen.

FWIW, you should consider an overdrive transmission if this rig ever expects to hit freeway speeds in the future. It's a nice benefit to being able to go 75 mph.

And consider an Atlas before you polish that D300. Do the math. For what you can sell your D300 (with the HD output), and cost to purchase the Clocking Ring, the Adapter, the 4 to 1 kit, the Twin Sticks, the 1350 yokes you may find it's not that big of a jump to just get a better case to begin with.

Fact. To fully polish a dana 300 you'll spend more than if you'd just buy an atlas to start with and you only have 4:1 or 2.61:1 to choose from and the gears are substantially smaller.

Being a person that has a polished 300, and an Atlas I will tell you this. Since you already have the 300, just spent the 600 or so and run it. Problem is that its hard to sell a 300 for good money only to pony up 2000 for a used one or 2500+ for a new atlas. Sure the atlas is the best option but a built 300 will be a strong enough option for your rig Mike. I have ran 2 built 300s, and one stock in my buggy and can say I never broke one. Finishing it off with 1350 yokes, twin sticks,(don't waste your money on a HD input)(I assume you already have a HD output?) and a 4-1 isn't that expensive and you will still be into it for less than an Atlas. If you were pushing a lot of HP, with a heavy rig and drive like Mauler I might say spend the money. But you don't, Polish that **** like White Trash does his Toy crap and call it a day.:fawkdancesmiley::D
