So i don't do this enough to be able to look at a fitting and go "oh thats a #8".

Is there a way to measure the male portion of the fitting to determin rhe size?

For JIC & Seal lok fittings
-4 1/4" 7/16-20 thread
-6 3/8" 9/16-18 thread
-8 1/2" 3/4-16 thread
-10 5/8" 7/8-14 thread
-12 3/4" 1-1/16-12 thread
Measured just like a bolt. It doesn't take too long and you'll just be able to eyeball them. The only ones I mess up any more is -5 & -6 since they are so close but I doubt you'll run into much -5.

I assume that image is the fitting you're trying to figure out? I just pulled a -8 union off my parts wall and it measured .741 also.
