Another lil something.....

I also had to pull all the trans cooler lines and the lower cooler because the lines are poorly routed and I have to shim the lower cooler. While I was doing it I found the rad would not last long how it was sitting. Had to loosen everything and put it into place..

So I got the 4th seat mount bracket mount finished up and the seat mount fitted (stuff was way off-ugh). So now I can continue on with the fuel lines.

So I got the needed fittings/hose. I had to rework the tank mount a little (added second mounting point) otherwise it would flop around. I tried many combos from the pump to the tank and this was the only option. I was able to fully finish the plumbing for the system and even made a mount atop the throttle body to hold the hose.

So the new hose and couple ends showed up so I dug into the trans lines to get them done up. Like the fuel lines I dumped a good portion of it and revamped it. I moved what I think is an inline filter and re-routed everything. It turned out pretty good..

I went ahead and dug into the fuel lines and got them done up.

So now p/s,trans and fuel plumbing are all done.

So one thing I noticed when I dug the rig home was this. Its a chunk of 7075 alum pounded into the chassis. Now the cooling system uses the back part of the chassis for the cooling system but I can't figure why that was used.

So I was going to try and pound it into the chassis but its pretty mushroomed and it didn't budge :redneck:

Next I drilled/tapped it and tried to use my slide hammer and even tried a bolt to leverage it out---that fawker is IN THERE. :mad:

So I drilled and tapped it to 1/4" NPT and then cut it to match the tube and made a plug and finished it off..

So I bent a piece of tube and made a mount for the lights.

Pretty sure they are suppose to be gravity fed, that loop in the hose has a potential to create an air pocket and starve the pump.

That decision was not made easily :awesomework:

I will purge as much air from it an might even pop the pump loose and make sure its all gone..

I used one of these as an overflow in my toyota with a 4.3 and could not get it to draw coolant back properly no matter how I set it up.

They need a vent to work. It's easy to push hot fluid out since it's getting passed a cap with 13-16 lbs of pressure but it doesn't draw that much vacuum to suck the coolant back in without a vent.

But I should know pretty quickly if air is going to be an issue as cavitation of the fluid should be pretty noticeable.
