Salvage 10

Worked on tying cage into the front frame section, hit a mental wall on how I want to do the engine cage.
Still thinking about running a low cowl induction hood, it will give me a little more hood clearance.
And mainly i just always liked the look.

Redid the engine cage upper loop that I messed up the first time, bent and dropped the front for a little more clearance.

HACKED, a fuel cell mount together, still need to make some tabs to raise it 2".
And you might notice my exhaust is fubard, I fell trying to move the rear cage back into position after, welding the area closes to the cab. Been to disgusted to fix it rite now.

Worked on my exhaust Sunday, fixed what I broke in a fall, laid out the rest.
Added V-band clamps in a couple different spots. Added some flex joints/ or what ever they called. Made some fuel cell brackets.
Still got some exhaust hangers to make ran out of time yesterday.

Got My hinges in, started my tailgate yesterday had it ready to tack it in place, and my so walks in and asked if I was still going to run a rear winch. I totally forgot about that
So had to start over and recessed the fair leed into the bumper, going to have to rework the tailgate still.
Waiting on parts to build a bellcrank for brakes, and steering column parts.

Sounds about right for building it and being reminded about something else. Are you going to leave it as a tube tailgate or try to skin the tailgate with some factory metal?

It will be skinned, but havnt made up my mind on what with yet.

Basics of the tailgate are done, inside will be skinned with 1/8", want to make flat work are out of it and maybe hold my coleman stove. Might skin the outer with aluminum.
Have idea on rudimentary vice, have to figure that one out.
Any suggestions on latches to keep it closed,

Might be getting put on hold getting finished this winter, do to concrete shortages in are area, might be getting laid-off next week.

That's no good. Hadn't heard of any concrete shortages before.
Shelby materials, and IMI around here has started limiting people to 9 yards a day. Major highways and bridges have first dibs.
I have things to keep me buisy on the truck. I was hoping to drive it out the door by spring, if the layoff comes soon it won't happen.
