What lift springs do I need to clear 35" tires?

I'm no help either way but just curious if this is for the Stock class 4600 race rig or a different TJ?

My LJ is on 4.5" springs right now on 35s and I feel like it sits a little tall, especially in the back since I removed the rear bumper/tire carrier and spare. That's with Motobilt steel full corners, rockers, and tailgate armor. It also has Metalcloak over line front fenders.

I'm planning a ton swap and 40s and have a set of 3.5" RK springs for that. I need to just go ahead and swap them in.

What is your belly height? The questions are for the 4600 jeep. It is too tall, or it feels too tall.

Makes sense on feeling too tall while ripping around the various race courses.

This was my old TJ with Metal Cloak high line fenders, 35s and no lift. If I had it turned full lock and hit a curb it would touch a little but basically never rubbed.

21.5" to bottom of the frame rail. 18" to factory skid.

I am at 22.5" to the bottom of the skid plate. At least 25 to the frame rail. So I must have a 6+ inch lift. Do you think 2" lift springs would get it down and still be able top run 35" tires?

The wranglertjforum guys swear 4" Currie/RockJock springs and 1.25" body lift are ideal for 35". Probably a touch tall by east coast standards, but I'd assume a 4600 rig wants decent uptravel.

My TJ is mocked up on 40s/tons and 3" springs at 23" bottom of frame rail. 4.75-5" uptravel in the rear and a little more in the front. No real weight in it so I'll likely have to fiddle with springs later on.

I had the currie 3" or 4" spring with a 1.25" body lift on 35" tires. I had the undercover fab skid plate and oil pan skid.

I forgot to add that I do have a 1.25" body lift as well. I would go with a 3-3.5" spring. To buy you back some belly clearance do a stand-alone transmission crossmember and a Barnes4WD or UCF skid plate. If you're racing it you'll want a good skid anyways.
