Front carrier bearing

Whats a go too angle, on a non buggy front carrier bearing front driveshaft angle, frame is on stands at ride height, transfer case is mounted in place.
Not rubber mounted W.O.d kit, with a slip yoke at the transfer case. Might see some short on road drives with drive slugs, and a Detroit locker

Is the rest of the drivetrain solid mounted? If your drivetrain moves any at all, you're gonna have problems out of that solid mount carrier bearing. Personally I dont think a carrier should ever be solid mounted unless its on an extremely rigid frame with an incredibly solidly mounted drivetrain.

As for your angle, looking at your setup I'd set the center joint up at ~1* of angle then make the transfer case and axle make equal and opposite angles.
 
If you solid mount the hanger bearing it will eat the bearings out. Ask me how I know. Also the slip between the bearing and the t case was a bad idea for mine.

2 Poly mounts one under the 205 output center line, one under the trans to 203 adapter.
Poly mounts bolted to the engine, there is some more pictures on my build thread.
Been so many arrguments on whats the better way of doing it. And ive forgot them all:confused:

Everybody's got opinions. You're going to have problems out of that carrier bearing. Bug E-J had solid mount drivetrain and carrier bearing and just the little bit his frame flexed caused his to eat carrier bearings, yours will be worse with poly mounts on the drivetrain.

Looks like you're early enough in your build to remount that carrier bearing on a bushing.
 
Yeah I kept breaking trans cases and smoking carrier bearings/intermediate shafts. Like every time out no ****. Put 2 small flat bushings under my carrier, took the slip out of intermediate and never had another problem
 
Yeah, thats why im asking now, been thinking on how i want to do it.
Bug-E J, did you use a double style bushing, or just single rubber sandwich style. Thanks

My hanger is alot different than yours. It just has these flat washers under it the bolts go through. No slip between it and tcase

Wonder how some 2009 superduty upper shock bushings would hold up, for bushings
 
I just cut the flat spots off some of these. With your setup i dont know if something like this would help
