Mo FAB buggy, aka "S#!T Happens"

the drive train is a TBI chevy 350, it has a 700R4 auto with a manual valve body and engine braking. the transfer case is a Dana 300, twin stick and clocked.

The front end is a Dana 44 (i know, but i couldnt find a 60) with 5.13 gears, warn premium hubs, Yukon chromoly axles with CTM joints. The gears have been cryo'd, and the front is full spooled.

The rear axle is a 14bolt from a M1008 CUCV. it is geared 5.13 gears, cryo'd also. it has a welded carrier, a Blue Torch Fab disc brake conversion and will be shaved for a little more ground clearance.

The buggy is going to be between 3K and 3200 lbs,, as far as weight goes. I have a long list of parts i have bought or traded for for this buggy. it was built on a budget, and so far it is on track.

the tires i am still open for, i have been trying to trade my H1 16.5X8.75 8 bolt beadlocks with 16/38.5R16.5 Super Swamper TSL's, i'd like to run a 42, by friend nathan let me take the pictures of my buggy with his 42's. i think it made the buggy... I picked up the chassis the last weekend of January, and we have been working on it ever sense.

we still have a lot more to do, but i will try my hardest to get it up and running for the event in april at Choccolocco Mountain. but it will be in the raw state, it won't be painted.
 
How did you "clock" a D300 behind a 700R4? I switched from a 208 to a 300 last year and had to set the 300 in virtually stock position for the front driveshaft to clear the tranny pan (necessitating fabbing up a "belly" to protect the t-case.) Pics please. :dunno:

the 300 i had had a clocking ring from Advanced adaptors, and we are using a hanger bearing on the inside of the passenger frame rail. it's REALLY tight, but it's gonna work.

haha, yea, we found out the problem, too many long necks while trying to climb into buggy before seat and cooler were mounted... lol. we're gonna have the huge problem fidgured out before trail time..... :drinkers:
