Having some fun on the Hayabusa today with a Corvette Z06

I took my Hayabusa out today so I could try out my GoPro for the first time and ended up having some fun with a Z06. I was running around 90 mph when outta now where a C5 Z06 passed me. I followed him at 110-120 for several miles before I decided to see if he wanted to play. I passed him and ran the Busa up to 170 or so before letting off so he could catch back up. Once I was slowed down to 100 he passed me at 150(found out the speed after we stopped to talk) and so I ran him down just before our exit came up. I had no idea who this guy was when he passed me and I never would have thought that the first time I used my GoPro that I would have got this footage. The sound quality of the video is distorted due to the sound setting being on hi by mistake. Oh, the video was filmed in Mexico! ;D

I personally despise most crotch rocket riders, only because, they think their rides are so badass and fast. Whoopty ****, a lawn mower can be fast... it's all power to weight ratio... Build a car that will show a bike it's taillights from 0-150, then I'll be impressed...

Ur rite, up to bout a 170 the bike goin to be in front, and when it starts runnin out of wind the car will slowly come creepin by, the Z06 is a 200 mph car off the show room, but under most cases the car will never see that on most highways, just not enough open room

A busa may get that Camaro in the 1/4 but it would get CRUSHED after that if the car was geared for it... Bikes aren't that ****ing impressive. ANYTHING with 140-215 horsepower that's under a 1000 lbs will fly... Whoopty ****! It's like wheeling, crawling a class five trail on 37s is impressive... Flying up it with 54s, although cool & tons of fun, is what you can expect to happen

Just to know let ya know what you think your talkin about, that old Camaro with a 632 in the pic is my old L/S Street Car, which is slow by todays turbo cars, but has run a 4.89@148 on a conseritive setup in a 1/8 mile, and i have had a bad ass busa also, so i know fo sho :****:

Busa's top speed is 190, and I'm betting your car would run out of gear before that, but that is a quick car no doubt! But anyone to say that a busa isn't impressive must not have ever rode a crotch rocket even the new 600's and 1000's are stupid quick, just sayin

I have had both myself and in no way possible will a C5 Z06 with a 405 hp LS1 run with a Busa on the big end.

the older non restricted busa and 1100xx would run 187 out of the box.a little work and they would easily run 210.i have been on a xx at 211mph. not many cars built will ever run that. been riding for many years and have yet to have a car hang with any of my liter bikes on the big end.most people dont have the balls...i did have a state boy run over 150 for 30+ miles... laughing1

if you search you will find many videos of xx and busas running 200+. even have radar readings on the videos. but hey dont believe me i know nothing.just putting my 2 cents in.

Oh this could easliy become a pissing contest, there are tons of bikes and cars thats been modified that will just run as fast as ya want, I was just sayin a bone stock busa and a bone stock c6 zo6, but im talkin bout 3 or 4 mile dead straight road, but theres no way i would have the balls to run anything up that fast on the highway with other idiots running around me

There's so much you can do as far as mods to both bikes and sports cars, to state any sorts of facts about any of that ****, you have to say "in stock form" for comparison. And as far as busa's or the newer ZX14's go, they are not much different from the 1000cc literbikes out these days. I'd rather have a 1000 any day than a heavy old paperweight busa :****: hahaha had to stir the pot.

I've had both in near stock form so here's my theory... Up to about 160/170ish, a 1000cc or busa or ZX14 will stripe a stock 405 hp C5 Z06...never drove a C6 Z06 so I can't vouch for that....but after 160, **** starts to even out and it becomes sort of a toss up. I personally got my ass smoked on the interstate by an older man in a C5 Z06 that I later found out after meeting him in town and talking with him that he had a fortune under the hood and in the suspension. I had him up to about 160 and then **** started evening out and then he started pulling on me...I twisted up to right at 185 mph and knew I only had a few mph left before the speed limiter kicked it so I back out and it looked like he dissappeared like a ****in rocket lol.
