seat opinions

I've got a set of Baja SS i put in my yota a lil while back. . worth every penny, everyone thats rode in em has loved them. . . dont know much about the XPs though. . just my 2 cents

I have used both ss and ultras. If you are bigger than 5'10" and over 180# i would look into the ultra as thats about all I could see fitting ibto the ss. Im 6"3" and 240# and the ultra wides are my seat of choice. Its formed well enough to hold ya in really well but big enough to ride all day with no fatigue. Keep in mind the ss is the entry level seat so you get what you pay for. The seat back isnt as tall with the ss and on me the harness pass through for shoulder belts is at the bottom of my shoulder blades. Ultra is perfect fit for bigger guy and definately worth it if you can fit them. Check out corbeaus website and see what will fit for you.

I'm a big boy 6' 300lbs I got prp daily drivers 4" wider 4" taller they fit me awesome head rest is behind my head and they hold me still! Any seat you get I'd recommend measuring from your butt to your head and getting some that fit they are safer that way!

This is a set of ultras in a full size truck cab. They are as far back as they will go. I am 6ft 195lbs and they fit perfect. The ss wouldn't work for me.

Re: Re: seat opinions

There is a huge difference in the SS and Ultra SS.

I'm 6' 240 and the SS are like kids seats on me.

I ran Ultra SS wides in my race truck and they fit me pretty good. My co driver is about 6'3" 250 and they were a bit short for him.

yeah the xp is like xrs but no recline but my buggy is 46 inches wide and the seats supposidly are 46 so im debating on the xp or the clubman

holy **** tiny small chassis!

have you thought about flaring the side tubes to widen the passenger compartment?

there is no way 2 grown ass men could fit in a 46" wide chassis and be comfortable at all.

I guess you just gotta get a skinny :cougar: to ride with you!

I hear ya TBI toy my chassis is 46 inches inside the passenger comp. and my wife will b riding with me usually and i wanna go with suspension so she can b comfy so im on the fence for which seat :dblthumb:

I'll add another vote for the Ultra SS wide. I'm 6'4" 230 and they fit great. I can ride all day and never get uncomfortable. My buddy Andy ordered them for his M&M buggy after riding shotgun with me on a few trails. Only problem I have is the black fabric faded to blue, but I don't really care. Just something to be aware of if you are paying $500 for seats. They will also be very tight in your narrow chassis. I have about 4" between the seats in my jeep and they touch the doors on each side.

I love my XPs ,they wrap around you a little tighter to hold you in place . the only thing i I did not like is the leg support it seemed to be a little to much for my application so i had the support removed from my seat cushions and now they sit better than any other seat i have been in. Just make sure you go with a suspension seat or you will regret it.

I know they weren't on the option list, but I have gotten real partial to my Mastercraft Rubicons, They are 22" wide.

We use PRP for everything and try to push them. They are really high quality seats and made in the USA. They wary a little depending on the model but they are all right around 22" wide. They have a wide option too.

Heres a pic of my buggy with the XPs. Inside to inside bar is 48. I use to run the ultra ss in my past rides, and the xps are leaps and bounds more comfortable and support you better.
