This is the one I'll have for sale, probably going to put a cheap optic on it before listing it for sale. Actually this one has a stainless barrel which was $50 more and looked gay so I went with all black and saved $50

Walmart was a no-go on the S&W .22AR so I went pawn shoppin'. No-go as well, but I got on a wait list for one just in case Walmart keeps coming up short. They had an SKS, but I declined. Waaaaaay overpriced.

Got me a S&W MP 15-22 today. Pretty awesome gun.
Goin to look into puttin a slide fire stock on it.

I've got the same gun..... I mean I "sold" the same gun and slidefire.. You will need to buy an aftermarket 3-4lb trigger for the slidefire to work worth a damn. seven 25 round mags and a 50round drum seem to just vanish with the slide fire! I swear its magic. Good thing .22 ammo is cheap.

I picked up the same one on thursday and shot about 200 rounds through it yesterday :dblthumb:

All Walmart crap is made cheaper from guns to tires. They may have the same name on them but are made on a different line in the factory.

Academy in Trussville was out of 12 ga buckshot and slugs along with most other rounds that could be used for self defense. I didn't look for 223 because I don't own one but the whole shelf looked empty.

I've never seen them run out of ammo like they are now, I tried to find some plain old 40 FMJ and they were out.

I for one am glad to see the firearms industry doing so good.

Beat me to it. The trigger gaurd on the one I had was cut (required to install slide fire). The guy I bought it from bought it with intentions of doing the slide fire, but then figured out you had to do a trigger job on it due to low recoil of .22 cartridges, so he just said fawk it, put it back to stock, and I bought it and put some **** on it......then traded it off.

Thanks man, the other one is already sold to a friend of mine. Sold it that night actually.

I actually don't even have either of them in my possession yet, they delayed my background check for some reason. Done the same thing on me earlier this spring when I bought a Glock from a local gun shop. Called back a couple days later and said I was good to go. So both guns are paid for in full, sitting in the back of the gun shop awaiting a phonecall from the FBI okaying the purchase. I imagine they are having a LARGE volume of background checks to process now with all the gun buying frenzy too.

Also for all you guys into the .22 cal rifles, this is about the best budget red dot scope that I've found. I had one on the Hi Point 4095 carbine that was chambered in .40S&W (pistol round). Held up fine and always stayed sighted in even with the .40 caliber recoil...which I know is still not powerful, but way more powerful than a .22lr. For just over $30, can't beat it. I actually had a small tactical rifle scope with a little bit of magnification on my 15-22, I liked seeing how accurate I could be way on down range.

ok good deal then yeah a friend of mine has a gun shop here in town and he told me they have sold more guns in the past 2 weeks than they have in 2 years and there background checks are taking up to 3 days to get back. the bsa red dot is ok for a .22 iv got one on a 1022 and its a great cheep little scope for a .22 .

What distance was that BSA good for? I'm looking for a scope for my Sig 522 but want something thats good for over 100yds if possible.

Over 100yards and trying to be accurate are a tall order with red dot, I got a 3x9 on my sig 522 and really like it, I had a red dot on it.

What ^^^ said, a red dot scope has no magnification (zoom) it's just a tiny red dot in the center of an otherwise clear reticle. I'd say depending on the shooter, 40-50+ yds of easy good accuracy. It's kinda like a step up from using iron sights.

if you want something thats good for over 100 yards in a red dot youll have to step up to atleast a 2 or 3x bsa makes one that works good on a 22 but thats as far as i would go with it this one is an ok one but its just a 1x
