Hi all need a little advice. I got a Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 under the front of my rig and I just tore a high steer arm off by sheering the 3 mounting bolts...Have u guys seen this problem before?? Is there a stronger knuckle/ steer arm out there that will work on this ball joint axle? Thks for any help

Think I may have figured it out....looks like Solid makes a ball joint 60 knuckle that takes their keyed high steer arm. Anyone have any experiece with these?

Is there a way to replaced the sheared hardware and tie the highsteer arm to the original tie rod location. Similar to the Artec stuff. I am working on a pair of arms for a Ford balljoint 60 and was able to do it. I used a 3/4" bolt though the arm-hiem-sleeve-tie rod hole. That is if the knuckle is not damaged.

Dynatrac knuckle is a Ford super duty knuckle, 99-04.

I'd get a cheap pair from a junk yard and machine them like FORDTECHGURU on pirate does.

I doubt you'd tear them off, double keyed and 6 bolts.

I'm thinking about making a set and just welding them to the knuckle, so i wouldn't have to do any machine work

Mine is welded to knuckle then made double shear through the factory location. Been holding up great.

That is good to hear. Welding the arm to the knuckle while it is bolted tight to foctory steering arm. is my plan. I hope it holds up as well.

Think Ill try bolting the steer arm back on then welding it up like you guys did.... got nothing to lose really....thks for the info guys.

i know this is a old post... for the people that welded it did you have to heat the knuckle and weld it like a factory cast knuckle or did you just burn it in??

I removed the ball joints. Bolted my high steer arm onto the oem arm with a spacer. Heated everything with a torch and mig welded it in. Still running today.

No help on the axle, but immediately recognized the Eco-Staff Logo on your Avatar picture. We met them back in April at AOP and visited again in July at DTOR.
