2nd Annual Rally in the Valley at Rock Creek Racing and Recreation ORP in Booneville, AR. booyang :driving:

May 3-5, 2013

$20 per person gate fee, kids 12 and under free. All vehicles and camping included in the gate fee.

Competition: $20 entry fee. Three timed courses, fastest combined time wins. Big tire class 40"+, small tire class <40". Will provide trophies to top 3 places in both classes. Payout to be determined by number of entries and sponsors. Events will include woods/creek/hill climb/open type racing on courses that should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Example: Creek crawl course is about 350 yards long through wooded rock creek bed and a hill climb at the end. HELMET, 5 POINT HARNESS, and FIRE EXTINGUISHER ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER. I reserve the right to not allow unsafe vehicles to compete.

Spectators: Plenty of open wheeling from entry level to extreme for those who don't want to watch all of the racing. Barbie Jeep races and King of the Trimmers races after the main competition. SxS, ATV's, dirt bikes, and anything else are welcome. There will be food vendors on site and primitive camping is included with gate admission.

Barbie Jeep Race: Must be a Power Wheels type electric ride-on toy. Can be any brand, vehicle, or size...just so long as it started its life as a kid's electric toy vehicle. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. NO EXCEPTIONS. Long pants, coveralls, costumes, gloves, boots, motorcycle riding gear STRONGLY suggested. GoPro and other action cameras attached to helmet also strongly suggested.Vehicle's gears must be stripped and the wheels free rolling. Axle upgrades and chassis strengthening are permitted. Keep it simple, this isn't NASCAR, but try to keep the vehicle as stock as possible. ORIGINAL (PLASTIC) TIRES MUST REMAIN ON VEHICLE. NO PNEUMATIC (RUBBER) TIRES!

Last year's event was a BLAST and the competitors drove their rigs HARD. The small tire class ended up having only 4 seconds separate first place and fourth place, so it was a race to the very end for those guys. If you want to have a fun weekend with the family and watch some quality racing I suggest making a trip over to this event. I am going to try to make it as exciting as possible!

More info to come.

Re: RCRR-2nd Annual Rally in the Valley May 3-5, 2013

Gonna throw some pics up from last year. Looks like the Barbie Jeep race has more competitors than the main race at this point :woot: but I'm sure the 15 or so folks coming out to race could stand a little more competiton. :****: :dblthumb: booyang

Re: RCRR-2nd Annual Rally in the Valley May 3-5, 2013

We have just added a new race to the event. In addition to the normal woods course type race, we are having a separate hillclimb race that will have a guaranteed $2,500 prize to the fastest person to the top. The hill will be difficult, but we want someone to walk away with $2,500 so it will not be an "impossible" hill. Those wishing to enter this race will need a full cage, 4 or 5 point harnesses, a helmet, and fire extinguishers. There will be a $20 entry fee for this race. More information and pictures to come soon. :woot: :woot: :driving: :driving:

Here's a look at the $2,500 hill. Its the line that is to the left of where the blue Jeep is going up. Looks easy enough, huh? Here's video so you can kind of see it better. The far right were the blue Jeep goes up and the far left (not shown) are the only 2 lines that have been done, the center hasn't been tried. James Mooring vs Wall Rock

how bout some side bets, I say my Ark team [lowest combined time] can take ya down, how bout it, loller.gif loller.gifj Al or Tn got any takers???????

Left side line on the the $2,500 Hill Climb. The video above is the right line. Both require you to make a turn around a tree and then get straightened back up to hit the line. The center line is straight on and will be the fastest if someone makes it...it remains untouched and roped off until May.
