Just picked up 2 of these a 425, a model E and an electric lock off. The guy said this was on a 496 big block and it sits on top of a carb.

Those mixers were made and used back in the late 60's to the mid 70's. They were designed as a dual fuel mixer to sit on top of a gas carburetor. They were notorious for back firing. They were already obsolete when I got in the conversion business. I acquired about a dozen of them when I bought out all the inventory from the Amerigas conversion shop that closed 20 years ago.
