Update:

Looks like "at least" 20 inches of clearance at the skid plate.
This is with 31 inch tires. Building for 37's.

Chassis will be 51-52 inches wide at the door tubes.
Runs 64 - 65 inches tall at highest point. With 31's.

Propane tank is killin me!!!! Gotta have it.
Looks like it will be mounted behind the big block motor.

200 dollar welder.... wood fab table.... 10,000 dollar 3D drafting program for mock up. I love it! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. My first year or two of business I built a ton of stuff with a 200.00 HF scratch start TIG machine. Its not the cost of the machine that matters, its the way you weave it.

Hey Chris, the welder was on sale for $100. The drawing software is a free download off the internet and the new Fab table is that heavy piece of iron or whatever from a piano. :****:
 
I hear ya. We'll I'm sure you'll lay some dimedrops with it either way.

I didn't realize those piano plates were iron. I thought they were all wood. What's that bish weigh?
 
I haven't welded with it very much at all, my little brother has ran some wire through it. He ran out a small spool and then I hacked it up to accept a larger spool. I don't remember making any really good looking beads with it. All I know is it burns in well enough to get the job done. The engineering part is the main thing that will keep everything glued. I'm not too concerned with the welds. I just want to show people I have original ideas of my own, and get my name out there.
 
Flux core done well is a great welding process. We've used it on 42" pipelines running at nearly 2000 psi. The mistake most make is not running hot enough.
Crank the heat up to max and wire speed up as fast as you can keep up and you'll be surprised how good the welds look.
Oh, and buy a dozen or so welding jackets. It throws a lot of sparks. You're going to end up on fire more than once. :****:

Thanks for the tip man, I'll try almost anything once :dblthumb:

I was out there this morning messing with that welder. I think I'll have it figured out within a few weeks.
