Badass leg man!

As cool as it is, it reminds me to be thankful I don't have one.

:dblthumb:

If you could swap shoes (or legs) with me for one day, it's not near as bad as you think. More of an inconvenience at times, than really something that's hard to deal with. Worst part is having to go through refitting process like I just done. Sometimes it takes forever and the dr is an hour away, so it consists of many trips that take up a lot of time and missed work. I wouldn't even begin to compare my situation with that of someone who is paralyzed or wheelchair bound for another reason. Randall Key is the man of inspiration. I admire the **** out of that man.

Remember what old Ben Franklin said: "Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy." LOL I can only enthusiastically agree.

talking about the price of Prosthetic limbs, my dad lost part of his right arm back 12. Workmans comp has been good to him one arm that works off nerves was little over 100,000. same setup you was talking about with the sleve and the rod he uses for his working arm. the one that works off nerves stays on with suction.

Watching him with how his routine has changed and having to adapt to new stuff, my hats off to you for not letting it get you down! He goes to Huntsville to have his arms worked on but I think it's toc. Not sure

The leg looks sweet JD, makes me think about checking into getting a prosthetic. I was born without my left arm from just past the elbow down.

I had one as a kid but hated it, was cable operated and just felt like people (kids) were always staring at me, I've not had one since I was 7 or 8. If I had something that looked that cool I might have kept one.

You have any friends or contacts with the folks you have been reppin your new prosthetic stuff that have missing arms? Just curious as to what's out there now, I know it would cost a **** load of money, but would be nice to have a couple different "attachments" for doing shop work or shooting a bow.

Ouch, that's a hell of a price tag.
Did you say it was nerve controlled? That is a big part of the price I think, compared to mechanical, i think i was told that because I didn't lose the arm I wouldn't have the capabilities to use nerve control, because I had never used them.

I'm not sure where you are located, but I definitely would call Fourroux Prosthetics in Huntsville, explain to them what you are looking for, and schedule an appointment to check in with them. They shouldn't charge you anything for a consultation of what's out there for you. Everyone there are really good people and have some of the most advanced technology in house related to prosthetics. I left my original prosthetist to go to Fourroux. Definitely a life changing experience, those guys and gals are top of the line in every aspect. If you have to stay there all day, hell they'll even feed you free lunch! Give em a call and check em out!

Also give their website a look.

I say nerve, but there is sensor pads on each side of the arm that has 3 buttons on them, he has to take his muscle and push the pad. he said it was hard learning to just push one button at a time for a while

Now that's cool. Always wondered how those worked.

I have always wondered how Marsha's hole could be so big, and her guts not fall out?

There's an internal vacuum suction or something there. It's like the 8th wonder of the world.

I brought a stool out there, took leg off, and hopped to the stool lol. I'm happy with it! It looks way better in person, much better than the old skull leg looked. Fits a helluva lot better too, which is the main part.

VERY COOL! somewhere I missed the part where you have a robot leg, haha, You are clearly not letting it hold you back, and THAT is awesome! :dblthumb:

Thats cool as Hell. Only a matter of time before somebody incorporates a coilover into a leg. Then you could be a one legged rock BOUNCER.......

Saw this on the facespace. Thought it needs to be your next upgrade. Custom bedazzled of course.
