Couldn't beat the dead line. No since in cutting corners, and wrecking all this work. We pulled the trigger, and welded in the other cage. This build definatly needs to be finished the right way.

Been crushing on a new temporary dash.... The plan was to have the Jeep on the trailer after sun up, cause I have to work tonight and Josh has a 5 hour drive.

Well.... The lights went off about an hour ago, and I heard about 6 explosions from far away. Yep, just sitting here in the dark.... Josh has been asleep for a while. Reckon I will go wake him up, and let him know. Probably gonna drive around and find out what happened. I hear a ton of heavy machinery catapillaring around, way over there.

Awesome.... Doesn't surprise me at all.

Not really of my business but I have to ask why did you waste all that time on a temporary dash, If you had the other one done?

So let me see if I have the Cliff notes right...You start build with old boys capital. Build goes six ways to sunday. Tears are shed, drama ensues. Dude comes to collect his jeep. Jeep isn't ready. Dude says **** it, puts old cage back in. You pump out new, better dash. Dude probably takes poor jeep home. No progress was made except for dash, fuel cell/storage. Everyone is now like WTF, was there a build happening or was this the biggest Troll mindfuck ever? :****:

My bad, I was so tired I forgot to update on here when it left.

Got it on the trailer late Sunday night.

Well.... Here's the deal. There was, and still is an extensive list of "things to hit" within this project. Josh showed up here with an idea for a large internal fuel cell / tool box / rear bench seat, combination. Said he could not find a place to buy this setup for his Jeep, and he really wanted it to come to life. The cage and dash needed to be something off the wall, but functional to his list. John nailed it.... Deadlines are business, and his words hit hard every time. The Jeep aside, there where too many variables floating around to pinpoint how long it would take to do this completely custom job. There are more projects already in the works for this rig. The deadline was known to be unreal from the start, but I was ready to go through hell to get it done. I did not get it done, so a backup plan was executed. We have already found some things that we'd both like to change. Who knows what the plan will be when it comes back, Josh's mind run's 100 mph around his Jeep. The goal's always been to make the rig work to his taste. The job was never about money.... Not meeting the deadline didn't help, but right now, in the beginning.... I believe the best thing for Dynamite Design is to make this rig everything it should be.

This thread is a culmination of too many different subjects, and some should not surround this rig. I am gearing up to unveil the first run of brand new fabricated parts from Dynamite Design, and you should expect some standard, in depth build threads showing up soon, including one for this Jeep.

Big Thanks to everyone who tuned in for the Sling Shot over the last 2 months.... :dblthumb:

You were tasked with doing a cage, dash, and fuel cell. You started the thread on January 12th. You really should be in a reputable shop with your hood down doing killer fab and let the grown ups worry about running a business.

I agree with redneckengineered.

I've seen your work, I've talked to Adam about you. There is no doubt in my mind that you are talented. If you hadn't pussed out and deleted all the 12 yr old girl drama out of this thread I'd go back and quote you on all the unnecessary BS that you brought on your self that proves that you are your own worst enemy. It's not about making a circle with a drill and a beltsander. It's how you use that circle once its built that matters. No one gives a flying **** that your in a 2 car garage with a $100 welder. That's 90% of the wheelers in the world. You churching that **** up like you're expecting Oprah to show up with a fully functional shop for you is BS. You wanna do this ****, then you either shoulda stayed with Wood or STFU and pay your dues and scrape by with what you got----just like the rest of us. Quit trying to build a Taj Mahal with toothpicks. Nice, simple lines with attention to details will win every time.

Now dust yourself off and get back to work cuz I want to see what all the crying is about. :****:

Im not trying to come off like a ****, but man its time to stop slinging bullshit about unrealistic deadlines and excuses, you've dug a hole by bragging on how your the best since Jesus walked. It was a SIMPLE cage with absolutely no bends in it at all and a dash that was completely unfuctional(even the passenger side speaker was pointing completely outside the rig) There is no reason this didn't get finished in time. Everyone was taking it easy and not posting yesterday because we did feel for you, we believe that you do have some skills, but to turn around and start posting crap like this again is kinda asking for a reality check. If it were me, and I have been in your shoes, I would step back acces the situation and figure out a way to be able to do good quality work without trying to prove yourself to anyone. All the top guys do it because they like doing it not because they feel like they have something to prove.Good Luck in the future and I do mean that, I think you just have some personal issues to work out first.

Dood.... Leave it alone.
I don't do killer fab for shops any more. I'll take my chances on my own.

You should... Those last welds were amazing and the temporary dash as you called it beat the **** out of that jagged edge clusterfuck that you fabbed up the first time. You are a excellent fabricator when you put your hood down and shut up. That being said you had plenty of time to complete the tasks at hand.

All this deadline talk and drama, I feel like I'm watching one of those corny reality shows on tv......

Re:

I wonder how much time I've wasted opening up this thread every time someone posts. What a waste of a couple months. Next time build the damn thing and start a build thread when it's finished.

all the fab skills in the world won't help you if you don't know how to apply it, like has been said next time take pics as you go and post up when you are done, good luck in the future
