Harlan trail work and clean up weekend.

Something does need to happen to the exit of your turn. It is borderline impossible without winching.

As for the beer cans, it is rediculous. I drink my share of beer on the trail but I always take mine out with me. A guy in my crew spends as much time wheeling as he does picking up cans. He does it for the extra vacation money more than anything. Everyone has lost a can or two due to forgetting it sitting on a rock while winching or it may have fallen through the cracks in your crawler. That's understandable and an accident. The problem is that on government land where you are allowed to drink, the woods po-lice have made it where people want to ditch their cans to keep from getting hassled. I had a twra agent give me a field sobriety test in the woods because I was considerate enough to save my cans. They were crushed sitting in the floorboard of my gayzer. Passed my sobriety test but still got ****ed with by the man. Windrock checking coolers is causing people to ditch the cans. Granted not drinking while there is the obvious answer but we all know that's not how things are.

As for middle or left? At the present time those rocks are not positioned correctly and in my opinion dangers to try. But with a lot work I think it would be doable.

You're getting into turkey season now, lol. I was thinking about changing our March 21 trip to Harlan? It's closer than the planned location.

There are some big rocks on jagger, if you could move some around I'm sure there are more lines that would open up.
What are you wheelin now? Haven't seen you since the red toyota yrs ago.

I had a toyota buggy after that. I have a stock 2014 4door rubican right now. I am gonna get something for crawling sometime this year or winter of 2016.

As for the big rocks being moved on Little Jagger, if the dozer doesn't place them right when they roll. We would have to get a very large excavator to place them. I am gonna get an estimate on that as well. However the park will probably not pay for this. So if it gets to that we would need to raise some money. We have a backhoe and a dozer, after that we have to pay.

As for your turn, I will need to look at it and we as the park maybe able to do one of the ideas someone said about pushing stuff out of crawfords cry.
P.S. nothing wrong with winching, it makes you want to come back. If you can do everything with ease than your gonna look for other places to challenge you.

As for the pitching the beer cans. It is the most disrespectful thin anyone can do. I would bet that a lot of the people that does this don't even pay for a permit.

As for beer cans, I have watched many at lions den and they don't care. They were paying people, just drunk as can be and tossing cans as they go.

Is Grasshopper a complete trail or just a hill?

Crawfords cry, anyone think there is any way to make the trail continue on up the hill? Past the turn around point?

And just a personal want, can we get a runway put in at the bottom of Creampuff? I wanna hit it but I want a run at it!!

The run a way for creampuff probably not..

crawfords cry was longer trail(I've never hiked it or ran upper portion)
but maybe we can hike and work it

as for grasshopper.. its a hill like grapevine but 3 times as long.
however I want to extend the network of trails in this area. I have a plan to really make this area badd ass..
think about the fact you have to run down trail 29 a mile hit the lower unopened trail I've marked.. then run half mile of trail to get to grasshopper.. run it..
then wind your way to top of the mountain to where lions den exits off the ridge. how does that sound?

We all have our wants, but Id love more actual trails, instead of little short offshoots. So if it actually goes from a point A to a point B it sounds awesome!

Been working on a path on google earth for people to see where we will be working.

Hope you can figure out the image..

The lowest line that I have marked comes off trail 29 at junction of 38.
The Stadium is to the far right.
Directly up the hill at the top of mountain is where lions den comes off the mountain ridge into the open strip off.

Your right about the Putney but it comes out at copper head campground.. then the trail comes out near the exit of lions den.

Looks good!!

And from what I remember, "10 mile" if that's what I was on, seemed pretty narrow for a full size buggy. The last time we tried to run it there was a tree uprooted right across the trail we could not get past.

Ive never been on that trail but will this year. I remember some saying it was tight. But that trail will be a focus.. However I think we may have to reroute some of it do to the deep mines location.

We opened mason jar in just a few hours.. just depends on how many volunteers shows up..

WE do need a few bad ass rigs to show up to break the obstacles in, even if they have to pull cable.
