Im thinking about cutting away some of the cage and body on the Bronco. The tubing running from doors to the back and then body portion just above. I think it will give it a cleaner look without interfering with the cage integrity. Plus it will lighten it up a little more. Thoughts?

It looks good in the pics. If you want a buggy get a buggy. But I would keep the body it looks good.

When I get back home I will have to post up more pics cause this thing has been cut on a lot before I got it.

I'd cut the rear off in a heartbeat. I wouldn't consider touching the front though. I never understood why the rear was cut so much without just cutting it the rest of the way off.

I would leave the front alone. Adding a fender/wheelwell in the back will really help make it look complete.

A guy on this forum is one who built it. He narrowed the front 10". The passenger side has visible cancer so I just figure why not cut it off

Re:

The sheetmetal had some cancer in places. If you cut out the rear floor, it's like 1/8 diamond plate. I would also cut the rear frame behind the tcase and tie it up into the body's subframe. There is definitely alot of extra steel in the rear.

Yeah I was going to leave the inside bed the same size but cut out all of that metal and replace it. I got a sheet of that high strength black plastic. The stuff guys like to make skid plates out of.

Did you have a problem with it running hotter that average?

If I beat on something for a few minutes it would creep up to 220-230 but stayed around 200 just riding around. The eb rad isn't the biggest. the one thing I was going to do was connect the rear water jackets together. Since most of the sbf intakes are designed around 302s, they block the rear cylinder water jackets. Most racers say that tapping and connecting those will make a big difference.

How about some more pics of this stallion? I would not redo the rear, but maybe trim a little off the front where the tires are directly under the cut fenders for visual clearance. Other than that, Rock her... :dblthumb:
