Tire Tables - Was Maybe It's A Dumb Ass Idea

Went looking on the net and can't find one. I searched "Tire Table" and "Tire Work Bench" nothing, nada. Am I the only one that when working on the rig, sets everything on the tires, tools, bolts, whatever fits without falling off? Well, I figured someone made a table that would sit over an off road tire. Something with a top about 14" wide and 24" long. With about 1" sides to keep stuff from falling off.

May draw one up and build it on the Torchmate. But, I figured there would be one in the marketplace.

Ever heard of such a thing?

Am I the only one that sets all kind of stuff on the tires when working?

you could make one like the step for a big truck that fits over the tire except make it a table

I've wanted to buy a good sturdy roll around plastic cart just for this reason, but always spend the money elsewhere.

Yea, I always set crap on my tires. I usually run out of room on the tire im near, which results in me setting tools in random ass spots and losing them when I need it 5 minutes later.

I've made one with pvc pipe, a McDonald's tray, and a couple screws.

Super light and costs basically nothing.

Probably not the same use as you're intending, but I just use super strong and small Nano magnets at places that "usually see work getting done". It's great for holding bolts, nuts, screws, drive shaft straps, u-bolts, small tools. Hell, some of the quarter sized ones will hold a good sized crescent wrench.

Exactly what I had in mind. They are not on their website. Do you know if they still make them and about how much. I like the PVC, cafiteria tray idea too, got any pics?

Ha! I'm the worst. Took this pic tha other day. Backed up and heard a loud smack. Batt charger in tire. Always somthin on tires.

I need to build something like that. Maybe I wouldn't lose my tape measure and sharpie so much then. A tape measure tracking system would be even better. I bet I spend 20min a day looking for it.

Lol I set things on my tires all the time. That's a sweet idea.
I also have 3 tape measures, lose em all the time. Have a few sharpies too. Started using pencils because we have at least 50 in the craft closet.

The tire tray is a great idea
