warn winch controller

Anyone ever replaced just the switch and not the whole unit? i got a bad "winch in" side to the old switch.

That's about the only thing I was concerned about with the switch from vatozone/oriellys was the amp rating vs the old burnt up one I swapped it with, got the highest rated one I could find at the store. So far so good tho, its only been under a hard pull a couple times but its just flipping a solenoid anyways. It looks like the one in 1tonyjs remote might be rated for 240v, maybe check the home depot for something equivalent?
 
I wouldn't be concerned about the amps on the switch as they should be very low as it's just making a 12V power to the solenoid which is actually doing the work. The contacts are the issue with parts store stuff. In my experience anyway...
 
Make sure to get a momentary toggle switch, they are spring loaded back to the center / off position.
