I must say its good to know he didn't act the same with everyone as he did when I met him. First impressions don't always hold up and it seems following those first impression up with internet interaction has not been for the better.

The real lesson to be learned is all this drama started with Facebook. Facebook is the root of all evil. Well Facebook, money, and ***** are the roots of all evil. Two of which I find necessary and I don't have Facebook. :****:

IMO Facebook is contributing to the decline of our society.
I suspect there will be studies done on the fall of western civilization in the future and facespace will be a major contributing factor. I can't think of any one other single thing that causes as much hate and division amongst people. Think about it, we can now hate masses of people we have never met because everyone can see and read their opinions and fire off your own opinion back. Most of whom are uneducated, ill informed, self centered and IMO rather dumb.

Ugh. Makes me sick to my stomach.

I know it's what you make of it and people are going to post and defend the drama factory. The problem is that people have to air their opinions and dirty laundry and then folks post their own back. Granted it's not much different than here except this is a place for like minded folks who enjoy the same sport and hobby. Facebook does not have that. The main issue to me is the sense of security people have to voice their opinions to people that they normally wouldn't have the balls to do face to face, whether that's fear or respect is unknown.

The stuff on pirate was definitely not the first febil attempt of the pot being stirred. I was actually questioned about ty last night. I don't have a problem with ty at all. I will race an arcs race oe 2 next year if they are close to the house. I want my ol lady to take the powder puff money. In fact he is a nice guy. I trust him as far as I can throw him (he is a big boy for those that don't know) which was the way I felt about batshit until he accused me of touching his buggy then Pms me wanting to know why I am mad not asking publicly. It's the whole stabbing people in the back, lying to people's faces, or shady dealings/trying to get over on people that has completely ruined this sport for me. If you lie, steal, etc and somebody calls you out on it another lie or completely ignoring the issue is what escalates situations to this level. I will say it again I can write a ****ing book on things that would blow yalls minds but I do everything in my power to avoid the drama.

I gotta say Patterack and John are correct. I have a facetube page, I figured it was a cool place to "show off" the goings on of my awesome kiddos and found it is a damn good way to find old Army buddies and stalk vaginas. I does get old when you see someone post things like this-

GUARUNdamnTEED they're friends with or LIVE IN THE SAME ****ING HOUSE with the people they're talking about. My brother and his wife do it all the time. It is funny, or started out that way, but now I'm on the verge of deleting. Damn facebook and photosuckit, if it weren't for all my damn pictures...

On the issue of trolling, I trolled into this thread. Most of us did. Most of us didn't have a dog in the fight but decided to put in .02, some people have never been to Harlan and put in .02 in those threads, and it is EXACTLY like facebook. People want others to see their opinions.

Facebook is absolutely the decline of of our society, mainly because people build these alter egos and start believing the stuff they write. That is why you have people who are "fighting for the cause" yet don't do anything but sign a petition. It gives people a platform to spread their views and folks tend to lie and exaggerate who they are to try and get more attention. I have a facebook page and check it pretty much daily, but I am the same normal boring Dan on facebook as I am on hardline as I am on farmersonly.com

I can remember when the only thing Facebook was for was finding out where all the parties were in college, and seeing pictures from the night before trying to figure out what you did. My favorite FB story was a friend bragging about how hot the chick he went home with the night before was; then brotha man got tagged by one of her friends and she was about 5'3 225lbs and had a hair lip and a unibrow. He said the camera made her look big :rolf:

One of the major problems with facebook is people accept practically anyone/everyone as their "friend' when in reality they are pretty much a stranger. Then they share content that would typically only be shared amongst close friends and/or family. Believe it or not facebook can be pretty cool when you actually limit your friends to you know...actual friends. It allows me to stay connected with people I give a **** about but may not talk to regularly. I'm far from a popular person but I have 93 pending friend requests from people that I just do not know. Yea, maybe we brushed by at an event or something or spoke for a moment, it's nothing personal just my choice.
