Re:

There is so much land to ride down there, I'm pretty sure the most of the bouncers cannot hold enough gas to cover even half of it. Haha lots of trails and lots of scenery.

hope they are enough room to move around it's great to have huge rides but with this not being a "regular" park does anyone know if the trails can hold 5000+ people :dunno: I'm going no matter I was just wondering . I've never rode there

Is 5000 people an expected number I would think 500 rigs would be a huge ride I may be wrong but either way I get the point to your question I would like to come we may load up and head that way be a good time of year to see some pretty scenery and wildlife to if they is any still in the woods after you uns and your loud pipes

Re:

Wildlife down there is not bothered by the loud pipes. They are used to it. Riding happens there every weekend, and even some through the week.

Re:

Bobby and I will both be making a visit. First timers. I just want to go and log miles. It looks like there is more to do there than a weekend would allow.

I have been on this property during a Damn Locals ride and it was awesome. Bunch of trails and room for more!

Couple facts:

The land this ride will take place on has been ridden for years and does not include the property that this "waterfall" area is on, but it does access that area but there are clearly marked trails with signs that state when you are leaving the property. Do not drive in the waterfall area. There are plenty of trails that do not put you in any water areas. Respect the land as if it were your own, so we can continue to ride here. The "waterfall" will cause issues if someone is on it and will ruin a good time for everyone.

Currently over 115 miles of trails on this property, with a few big climbs and several difficult rock crawl trails. They are cutting new trails to prep for this event.

Huge parking area being developed currently, should have room for thousands, but no idea what number to expect at this time.

More info coming soon!

Don't know if it's true or not but a buddy of mine lives over there and one of his work friends is saying that someone went in and tore the roads up with a dozer blocking the trails to the waterfalls area from the church. like I said I don't know if it's true he is going to ride down there sometime this week and look.

It is true, Both end of this property the road has been dozed. They also filled the creeks with trees they pushed down.

Is there a map showing the property boundrys for the property the ride is held on. I've rode up there befor and am just trying to figure out where exactly in the cove it's at.

Re:

It is the property around the church. It is from what the locals call "the Rut to the vine". Known trails on the property are "Switchback and Sherman Williams", they have been working on a lot more trails. Those are just the ones most people know by name.

Re:

I don't remember it being gravel, they tied into the main road that the preacher uses to get to the church. It comes in from Greentown, not the cemetery. Right now the main road through the cove is blocked at both ends of the property.

The cove was where I learned to off road. Back in 2009/2010 I was there about every other weekend. I love it down there. Sucks one asshole with money can ruin it. And as far as trash detail I don't know how many bud light cans I've picked up there over the years. It kills me that people just throw their **** down like that.

This was sent to me to post by the "Cove Property Owner"

The property known as Bryant's Cove Church Riding area was acquired in April 2015 for recreational and natural enjoyment. Being an avid off-road roader I was excited to learn that this area was home to many local riding trails and spots. I wanted to clean up and improve some of the trails that had been rutted by the loggers that we had purchased it from.

While making improvements, I met many local riders on MY land and was excited to see their excitement about the land improvements we are working to provide. I let EVERYONE I encountered that they may continue to ride on MY land as they have done so previously. I just asked that no glass bottles, campfires, or trash be left on the property. I thought this was a minimal request considering I was going to CONTINIUE to allow access to MY property, that I pay taxes on and purchased.

To assure those I was not able to meet while on MY land, I had 12 large signs made that stated CLEARLY: YOU MAY PASS THROUGH AS YOU ALWAYS HAVE. NO GLASS BOTTLES/CAMPFIRES and that the use of HIGH POWERED WEAPONS MY BE IN USE FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES.

Signs were hung in obvious spots throughout the property. 2 weeks pass I and find some of my signs torn down. Someone also decided it would be wise to take one my signs, build a fire in the road, break glass bottles, and leave.

It is unfortunate that a few can ruin it for everyone.

I placed trees across the RUTT ROAD on the way to the "Waterfall" to prevent it from happening again.

The signs around the church were also destroyed and the area littered with glass bottles. I have personally picked up 21 55 gallons bags of bottles and trash around the church since April of this year.

It is a liability as a property owner to have people ride your land that do not wear helmets, litter, and break glass bottles with the intent to cause monetary damage to tires etc.

When people can respect MY land and the SIMPLE rules I have asked of them; the access points will be reopened for all to enjoy MY land again. How would you feel if I came into your yard and dropped my glass and trash and did a doughnut and left? The cove is my yard.

New signs and remote video surveillance cameras are being installed and a FULLTIME property mgr will be on site.

The Tanner ride will NOT access or come in from the cemetery road nor travel 15 miles through land I don't own as mentioned in a previous post. I also own the land on the other side of the church/creek off Poplar/Popular Springs with level parking lots and fields and access direct into the property. (This side is currently gated off at the top and bottom while work is taking place.)

NOTE: Entry to the Tanner Event for Locals down the cemetery road is allowed via offroad vehicle. A check in gate will be on the road to provide you with an arm paid with each paid entry. HELMETS MUST BE WORN ON ALL ATV's. No riding double on ATV's is allowed. Law Enforcement will also be on site at each entry.

When we were down there for the Damn Locals ride, I thought those signs were the coolest thing I'd ever seen in the middle of the woods. A landowner asking for common courtesy, and in return, FREE access and use of the land

BUT it also made my heart sink a bit, because I KNEW that some ASSHOLES would **** it up for everyone.

As a land owner in a popular ATV/Dirtbike/SXS riding area, I completely understand the issue. I have been very hesitant to post any signs on my property for the very fact that assholes will purposely **** up your land and do exactly what you ask them not to do.

For reference, I own 55 acres that accesses the Alpine WMA from the south. The main trail from Copeland Cove to Alpine goes right though my property, and the 2 main "rock obstacles/climbs" in the whole trail system are on my property.
