I know it's not painful, but I just survived two day "vacation" to an amusement park with my wife and our 2 sons (5 and 2) plus stayed up til 3 am doing year end stuff Thursday night. How can I do Spring Break in Panama City after 3 days in NOLA, sleep about 10 hours total, and be able to drive home; but I was so beat today I couldn't hardly drive home from Little Rock? I would think drinking beer for 6 days straight would take a lot bigger toll than some freaking water slides and a roller coaster and diet Pepsi all day?

Ive had lots of injuries and surgeries over the years but what happened this week takes the cake. Cut my leg the other day and it got a small infection, no worries some neosporin and peroxide and keep it clean right? 4 days later i have staff infection in my leg and can barely walk, then the back of my leg turns red and i have a huge red line from my leg all the way up to mid chest. Now i have blood poisoning, not sure if it or the daily shots i have to get are more painful. But as a whole this is more painful than my knee and shoulder surgery since its effecting my entire body and all my joints.

And I've cut my left eye. Had 2 transplants on it. Wore an eye patch for 5 yrs. scared little kids in every store I went in. Got lots of puss with it too

I've hit fingers with hammers and broke my big toe by running in sandals. Had the toe turn completely under my foot and heard/felt the pop. Worst for me though are ear aches and back spasms. Seems every time I get a cold, my ears get infected and the ear drums end up popping.

Picked my mom off the floor once, she is like one hundred and twenty pounds, after she fell out of her bed and couldn't get in her wheelchair or bed. When I picked her up semen and urine mixed I spent the fourth of July in the fetal position of the truck bed with bags of ice on my balls.

Back to kidney stones (sorry to interrupt your semen/pee story) the wife just had her third one in 2 years this weekend. First 9mm one was on a sunday as well. that was 2 years ago this October, had another 6mm last oct and now last sunday she did it again. Just shy of 6mm this time. Lithotripsy machine was days out and it moved to her ureter and lodged. We were in the hospital from Sunday until Wednesday. Her UTI was very bad, kidney infection too. Lots of pain for her, hospital was 40 min from house, and wednesday was the 6 yo boy's first day of first grade. Good times. So if she hasn't passed by Tuesday, they're going to go laser it. No stent, they think she can pass it. It stuck in the ureter and blocked flow completely Tuesday morning early, she's in ridiculous pain. They start dumping more pain meds down her until they get her on the table at 2pm, he reached up to laser but was able to drag it out with the claw. Must have cut her a fair amount on the way out as she is still bleeding out the peehole profusely. I don't wish it on anyone after seeing her and a few others go through it.
Side note, she is 38 and has a mass on her ovary that is about 2.75". The other GYN's have wanted to ignore it, this one that was called in said we need to know what that is, let's take that ovary out. Hell, lets take it all out, your uterus is enlarged. I already have a hard time dealing with her hormonal ass mood swings and shitty mood, not sure I will make it through the medical hysterectomy

Kidney Stones was it for me, I went months on months avoiding the doctor, not sleeping at night with really bad pains in my lower back hip region, the only way I could get comfortable was standing. Riding down the road in my beer delivery truck was the worst by the end of my route each day I was damn near standing up in my truck driving. Wife finally talked me into going to the doctor after I pissed straight blood for a couple days. Sure enough, doctor came in and said son do you play golf, I replied every once in a while, he said well than your familiar with the size of a golf ball. I had a slightly smaller than a golf ball size stone lodged in my urine tract. This was when I was fishing night tournaments 4 days a week so I lived on monster energy, he determined it was that and I naturally produce a lot of protein in my body so those two mixed caused it.

I had to have the shockwave treatment done to bust it up, talking about sore it was almost as bad as the stones themselves. My entire back from my shoulders to my waist line was bruised black and blue, I couldn't move best I could do was move from the bed to the couch. For a week straight I passed enough sand to fill up 2 baby food jars, the next week I passed 14 stones absolutely the worst pain in my life. Needless to say no more Monster for me. It has been about 6 years and haven't had one since.

that's probably the most bad ass story I've read on HL.
