B&B - North Vs South Bounty Hill - August 22-23, 2015

Been away for a while, want to make sure there is still interest in this ride. I see Jonathan may not make it, JJ will be there in his side by side beings he sold his rig. Is everyone else still committed?
Remember B&B is probably the most family friendly park there is, bring them and the bathing suites and lets have a ball out there in this heat. I plan to stay and ride Sunday also if y'all want to make a weekend of it. RTR

Still planning to go Won't know 100% til this weekend tho. My junk might not last through the hell I'm giving it on my birthday. As long as the engine/trans/case holds up I shouldn't have a problem making it to Boggs

Would love to but that is move in day for me Shawn. Y'all have fun. Hopefully there will be another Boggs ride I can make.

Regardless of who from hl bails it looks like there is still a good size group coming from Bama Crawlers. It'll be pretty sad if a Bama Crawler brings home the HL bounty.

A group of us rode B&B yesterday, only my second time this year, rode about six hours and had a blast. I was telling a guy from Mississippi about next weekend, he said he had been hearing something was going on there next weekend and figured the reason for the park being so down on attendance yesterday. He said he would make sure that all his group from MS knows about the ride and they have "a guy" that would take the bounty to Mississippi. Also spoke to a guy that said the group JJ is talking about would be there to take the money to Alabama?
Spoke to Jill, she said her computer girl has been MIA and has not posted the link from HL to their FB page. Jill asked that I post the link. I do well to post replies or pictures, would someone that is computer sabby please post a link from HL with instructions to get to the trail ride section to B&B's FB page? I took several pictures of some trails and sights around the park but twice it has failed to post to HL, I will keep trying.
I marked off the Bounty Hill but did not try to get up it. I did put tires on it to beat down the weeds for better pictures. I did ride up a couple of the trails, they are overgrown but it is just weeds and cleans quickly. RTR

Last ones. These were only from the Bounty Hill area, plenty of challenges throughout the park. I didn't even take any of the race course used during the Jeep Jam. RTR

I plan on rolling in Sat around 8.

I will be there around 9 Saturday.

Getting close and forecast looks good for Saturday and Sunday. Here is what I am thinking for placing participants that are not from FL. We will keep the sides as even as we can if we have 10 from N. FL and 6 from S. FL we will add the first 4 that sign up to the south then alternate from there. As originally stated fastest to the top from each group wins $150, fastest of those two on an additional run wins the rest. For starting possession cards will be drawn, A<K<Q etc. with aces hi, if you get the ace you can go first or choose any spot in your groups running order but must be called at the draw table. Now for a kink the fastest of your group will go first on the money run. My reasoning for that is if a "underdog" rises to the top of his group, lets give him a little edge to be a "HERO". I think that should do it for the rules, lets have fun. Feedback needed about starting time. I know the bounties usually come first but wanted to keep this more about enjoying the day and trail riding. RTR

I would like to clarify and say Gainesville is not south Florida. In fact it's the only city in Florida that I would consider being home east of Tallahassee. Also all wheelers south of Gainesville are a bunch of pussyfooting, web wheelin Yankees.

Im 50/50 on making it now, taking the waggy just isn't in the cards sadly. Gonna try to snag shotgun for the day tho Ill send the beer up with one of the local guys if I end up not being able to make it

Sounds like Snoball is issuing a challenge to the S. Florida Yankees? Y'all ain't going to take that laying down are you? I always thought Lake City was the cut off, we will see..... I will be in your area tomorrow over at KSR Fabrication.

Flatland, you are local you are not excused from this ride. Pull that spring back close to its original curve and weld a 1/4 plate on top and btm joining along the edges... simple fix you will probably never replace it will work so well!!!!!

Are a bunch of people staying at the park? Is there hotels or restaurants close by in area?

There's NOTHING close by, its in BFE. About 30-45mins there is Andalusia, AL.

They have tons of cabins, campers, and trailers on premises that you can rent. They're very convenient. I've only stayed in the cabins but they're nice and clean with a/c.
