Anybody watching TopTruck Challenge?

cool vids. sure doesn't appear that rigs are getting pushed terribly hard. that and breakage is happening frequently.

Re:

Ill take the mid 80s chevy on sx's all day. I think the last time I watched TTC is when vhs tapes were the going thing

Looks like some of the competitors need to go through a tuning/fuel delivery class. Got more balls than me though. Good luck to them!!!

Agreed. I notice some are running propane so that should be easy enough. I'm guessing it's an elevation issue since many of them are from CAN.

The guys running the bigger engines, I figure are running EFI. No reason why it shouldn't handle the change.

I'm surprised only 2 rigs are on axletechs. Doesn't seem like the few on tons are having axle issues, mainly rockwells.

I guess you missed where TTC is over and they aren't having any more?
Actually I posted a dirty smart ass remark but I didn't think it really fit with where the thread was going so I just put something nice in here. Lol

I thought it was just canceled in holister? Plus I'm not on Facebook and don't follow any other medias so I didn't have any other info on the event.

I enjoy watching it on tv if I catch it on accident. I guess I'm kind of jaded. I like Matt? the driver of money pit. Sweet rig. Lots of high dollar equipment. Looks killer.

It's just that rig gets denied damn near everywhere I have ever been wheeling with him, literally. Then he wins TTC. So after it seems that it's an event that is so specifically designed for a rig, I just lost interest as an adult. :) seriously not stirring any shoyt.

Hey carry on. I would still love to pit for 1tonyj regardless. Would be much cooler to be there.

Most of those rigs are too huge and heavy to actually work real good IMO.

I saw the 2016 ttc thread on pirate, no idea if they are running it anywhere else. Honestly not too interested in it as a whole. But I'll check it out when I'm browsing around.

I do think the super heavy duty hardware is cool, but a lot of times the ttc videos just look like guys easing around trying not to break, or hydro locking motors in that dumb tank trap water pits.

fawker cant make up his mind if the black rig running 42s or 43s. he is the only one actually thrashing on his rig though. well kinda

Hmm

Re:

Uggghhh......

Why can't they just have a contest where a bunch of people show up and run what they brung and call it a day.

No need to go all reality TV show on what's already cool.

x2

Being competitive in a driving/offroad/endurance event has as much to do with familiarity and experience with a particular vehicle.

They are hoping to get the "catastrophic failure" angle going with quick built rigs.

If I hear "Holy Diver" one more time, I'll fly to California, find that guy, and kick him in the nuts.

The cantilever suspension is flashemifyougotem !
