Re:

Ever just get frustrated at the thought of all the things you want to do and accomplish, but wonder if there's even enough time in your life to do it all? I hope my life is not cut short, but I think no matter how hard I try, I could be laying on my death bed at say 75 yrs old and be like "damn, never got to travel to _______ and see _______, or do that."

Just some random brain activity I've had tonight.

Pretty much hourly.

What's more frustrating is that a lot of the people that have the opportunity to go and do as they please (trust fund types) don't appreciate what they have.

Re: Random Thoughts

The older I get....the more I like to listen to old people talk about "back in the day...." stories. Most of it seems made up or embellished, but it's entertaining nonetheless :)

Re: Random Thoughts

I think all old timer stories are a little embellished but theres alot of truth to them, the thing is ya cant get away with **** anymore, im only 43 and i tell my kids stuff ive done and they think im crazy, so i can only imagine what the ole timers could get away with. Thank god there was no cell phones when i was a teenager

Maybe I should drill a hole in the front of the throttle body and stick it there.
Wait, then all the gay boys will be following me around :stir:

Re: Random Thoughts

X2 on old timer stories

In the past week or so I have been aggravated by the new insurance company procedures and the flood of "PDR techs" in the business now. The market has become so dirty and crooked now that it has driven repair prices down so far that it has become unrealistic to agree to repair 150 units for what these work visa companies are bidding.

They claim due to technological advances in the business in the last 20 years calls for a revamping of the pricing matrix.

So my question then is to insurance adjusters and the companies. Did they cut your pay by 50% or more when they handed you a laptop so you could double your amount of estimates in a day??!? That's what I thought.

So when great techs in the business learn to be faster and more efficient along with higher taxes, higher cost of living and inflation in general, that pricing matrix has gone down not up to compensate for the change. But hey the insurance companies sure did pocket more money. Lol

Anyway aside from that this year is gonna be a killer year. God is great fellas

My dad and a bunch of folks would street race on Papermill Rd in the late 70's, early 80's. Dad had 3 Mach1's all with CBs at one point. Someone would be at the Liberty St end with a CB and someone on the Hollywood end watching for the fuzz. I remember being in a car seat in the red Mach1, staging up against a 70's Nova and getting pinned back in the seat on the launch. Responsibility was not my dad's best quality.
