Agree. Too many of them out there. I live in a small, semi rural town that is large city adjacent. I get to see both types. I still live on a small farm and my Dad is hard as ****ing nails. I'm trying to bring my son up to be hard as well. I see parents at his school that are quite the opposite

There's a lot of factors I'm sure but I think it's undeniable that the way kids are raised these days has a lot to do with it...public schooling, liberal mentality, political correctness, helicopter parents, kumbaya, and WTF is up with the children's programming anymore. I was raised on sesame street, mr rodgers neighborhood, and warner brothers bugs bunny type ****. I don't have kids so I don't know the latest but it started with barney and went downhill to teletubbies and whatever the hell else they watch now.

I was getting a pedicure last week at the spa down the road and this dude walks up in capri pants, fitted tank top and rainbow flip flops carrying a purse talking with his buddies about the curtains they are putting in his man cave. The more I sat their in the hand soak for my manicure the more disgusted I got. We are three weeks away from college football and these chicks are talking about cappuccino machines and curtains for their man caves. Made me so mad I skipped my salt scrub!

Yo Gabba Gabba. It's terrible.

i have tons of ideas of what has caused "it" but the broadest catch all reason is parents not doing their job. As a father I will teach my son what I think it takes to be a "good man". I will do my best to show him as well. There is so much emphasis put on doing manly things (sports, construction, punching people in the face, pissing outside, etc) there is very little put on actually being a man. Women can do all those things mentioned but they are still not a man. We need more fathers teaching sons how to be men and frankly more moms teaching young girls how to be a lady.

Sad to say. But there is no such thing anymore. You have kids raising kids and most without a father.
Seems as if now days the worst you treat a woman the better they like it.

I have a daughter and I will not only teach her how to be a lady (with the help of my wife), but have already started teaching her what to expect in a man.

My dad does this program where he mentors underprivileged children in the hood. He says the things he sees are pathetic. Women are incentivized not to marry and just keep breeding to get .gov checks. They get an additional check for each kid and if they marry the checks stop. They get more for handicapped kids, including crack babies. So some of them deliberately try to have crack babies and they call them their "money-babies." The father is not allowed to spend too much time in the house or they are considered common-law married and the checks stop. So the fathers come around briefly at night while the social workers aren't around and the kids are asleep, donate some sperm for the next income check, and leave. The kids he mentors parents have been doing this for decades "together" even though the kids barely know the father. There are 4 kids with another on the way right now. The mother gets $1760 per month per kid. So now that she's having a 5th she'll get $105600/yr. She doesn't need that money for food because she is on food stamps. She lives in subsidized housing for $500/mo. She gets some other benefits, too. A lot of money goes towards crack trying to get the "money-baby."

Wait about 10-12 years it will be impossible to find someone that has any type of hands on manual labor know how the dam kids now have no clue ! no respect ! are rude ! and expect everything give to them because of poor ass parenting or no parenting at all ! this is true for male and female

DAM! I knew it was bad but never heard a story like that. Decades of crazy bleeding heart liberal policy literally creates this type of lifestyle instead of incentivizing the poor to actually better themselves.

It's actually worse. That's just a part of the story that relates to this thread.

Last time dad was at the house the sperm-donor came around and got into an argument with the mother. He ended up hitting her right in front of dad. There were 2 cops outside on another beef next door so dad screamed for them but they wouldn't respond. Dad said they guy started approaching him and asked what he was going to do about it, so he drew his Glock and told him to stay back. The guy screamed, "he's got a gun" and the cops finally came in and arrested the guy. He was out and back at the house for his nightly sperm collection 6 hours later.

I don't know why my dad even does it. But this is the "father" figure that boys learn from these days. And the mother figure that is teaching girls how to be women. I honestly don't know if I would have had the self control not to pull that trigger if I was in that situation.

How about these bitches that will hit a woman but when it comes to a man they just run their mouths and hide behind that same woman that they just beat the **** out of the night before.

It a lot worse than that. My wife worked for the state of TN for 9yrs removing people's kids. Most of the parents are just like this . The really bad stuff that happens around were you live never ever makes the news. Unless you know someone who works in this **** you have no idea how bad things are and trust me its all around you I promise. Thank god my wife quite that job it was killing both of us. In those nine years we have had many babys and kids come to our home and stay until the state could find new home. Many of those babys/ kids will forever hold a piece of our hearts and not a day goes by we don't pray or think of them. Every bit of this is caused by drugs and 1or both parents not giving a **** because they are getting paid to **** up. Your average drug parent make 100k plus a year off the drug baby's they make . Yes we reward them for being **** ups. The worse cases my wife had were when the sperm-donor start beating and raping these kids. The state of TN does nothing to these people who rape and beat these kids. I held baby's/ kids in my arms who had to be feed though a tube because the sperm-donor broke their faces. I held babys and kids that's have been raped by the sperm-donor and yet nothing is ever done. I've seen little kids tell my wife that mommy sells me for drugs am talking babys. It's a ****ed up world but it's getting much worse as the days go by. All of you guys would ****ing **** if you know what really went around you.

All of this garage starts with men not being MEN. Build your family through marriage and hard work, protect them with your life, and ****ing sacrifice everything you have to to show them what men do for their families. When your kids falls down, hard, and looks up real quick to see your face, they are wanting you to show them what to do. If a parent yells or screams, the kid will cry, period. If the parent rushes in all anxious, the kid will be anxious and uncomfortable when they are hurt. If you tell them to get and brush it off with a smile they will learn to take life's bumps and bruises with a smile.

Things are a few things I am trying to teach our boys:
God first. Know Him, love Him, live for Him.
Don't start a fight and don't lose a fight.
Don't be a bully and don't be bullied.
Stand up for those who cant stand up for themselves, no matter the cost.
Work hard.
Know why you believe what you believe.
There is nothing wrong with being kind, laughing, and smiling so be kind, laugh, and smile.
Respect women and older folks.
It's ok to cry, just have a good reason for it and not because your brother took your pudding cup.
Ole Miss sucks.
Always check the dealers card before you hit or stay.
How to cook.

I am sure there is more, but those came to mind.
