Agreed, enough to keep the heat directly off the cell, at least I would THINK that would work, definitely think it would help.

Appreciate the info guys, I do have some .25 aluminum sheeting laying around the garage so I may just use that and keep a eye on it.. I do agree about riding a couple times before putting the color to it..

A few pics of the corbeaus in place, and the tons that I picked up from pholmann. Also a set of 16" travel foa, triple rate coilovers that I found on here a couple weeks back.. I know they catch alot of hate on here but I got em at a steal, they will work for now..

For heat shield there's a pretty sweet product called hp sticky mat. Summit carries it. Its a little spendy but ceramic based and self adhesive and good foe like 1100 degrees. I'm putting some on my floor boards for the muffler and some more on the firewall behind the headers.

Progress has been slow lately, got married on July 30th so that has definitely been taking priority, but now I've been able to get back on it.. some pictures of the seats mounted and the start of the dash and console.. also been carving on the casting on the super dutys, the rear end brackets were cake compared to the 60 front end, but I've finally got it ready to weld a lower link mount to..

They are definitely a pain.. I really like the jesse haines kit like you have but I also stumbled upon a new outer knuckle that artec just came out with, their machined for high steer arms and everything, their pricing isn't terrible so right now I'm kinda just waiting to see how my funds are gonna be.. BTW your ride is looking bad ass! :****:

I wonder why they don't make both knuckles. All I ever see is just the passenger side, like they still expect everyone to run a tie rod. Just keep in mind with Jesse's kit you'll have to mount the cylinder rather low. Oh, and thanks for the compliment.

Blown heat is not always relieved by just redirecting the flow, but you need to give it a larger area for relief. It is a combination of both distance and angle. You can space it out, but if you do not angle the flow it will simply just blow right on the same surface constantly being your fuel cell. I have battled this same problem with my buggy and finally I pulled the seats out and relocated the radiator 4" closer to the seats and slightly angled the radiator. I did not want to bring the heat closer to myself, but it left me no choice. I'm now running about 6" clearance between my fuel cell and the radiator and it will still heat up at times. I have even used the heat reflective tape on my tank from Summit, it does give it some relief, but not a whole lot. Get your distance and angles right now so whatever you end up with, it will give you clearance and direct the air flow out of the way. If you do not address it now, you WILL later and it will be twice as expensive.

Thanks chasman9 I'm figuring out what options I have right now. I think I can lift my tank a little aND drop the radiator and fans a couple inches and lean them back. This will pretty much open the fans up for a unrestricted path of air.

Making some progress on the front 4 link, hand cutting all the tabs and brackets has took alot of time but I like the way it's taking shape..
