I have a friend with a cj5 wondering if there was a cheap propane setup to get that to run on the hills till he gets an efi v8 in there. Most options I see are 800 ish not worth it's since a v8 wouldn't be much more

what engine?

Biggest difference between most kits is the mixer(carb). You can piece a kit together for cheaper, but there's a little more work to get parts & install vs buying a kit.

I got my Toyota 22 r kit from Nash lift trucks out of Kentucky. a lot cheaper than gotpropane kit and the customer service support has been really good

If you have an equipment salvage yard around, I've taken a few propane systems off from 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder forklifts with very good success. Usually can get a setup for $25-35. Usually have to get a new longer hose for the tanks
