Don't know him. He is "asking" to be added and not nominated by someone? My .02 is the more folks you add, the less "private" it becomes. At some point you may as well just delete the group and let everything be hashed out on the forum.

this is how I'm feeling about it

also, if we want to start adding a bunch of folks, why not thin the heard some? several of these guys haven't been on in years
we discussed this more than once in other threads and this one as well I believe

Maybe people feel like there is some kind of super active private section in the back end ?

As I see it right now, not many can vouch for him, good or bad, so I will give it through the weekend for someone to speak up and then Table his name for now. Not anything good or bad to be said, just no confirmations at this point.
