I've worked in several areas across the country, but nothing quite like California... While out there I found this 92 Ford for sale for a good price.
It has the fuel injected 460 with a 5 speed trans. XLT with a/c and power widows.
I flew out there for work and my only means of transportation was the company truck they gave me. So when it was time to come home, I planned to ship my truck to GA and fly home, but I decided to see if the old girl could make it 3000 miles back to GA. So I loaded up my new tools and luggage, along with the brand new 70 inch TV and Treager smoker... and hit the road.
Nevada and Utah were really awesome to see in person. While traveling through Utah I heard a commercial on the radio about Moab, and since it was only 30 miles out of the way, i said what hell why not check it out... I only planned to ride through the town, but i couldnt resist hitting at least one trail. It was an incredible experience, but looking back, I really wasnt prepared for this and thankfully i didnt have an emergency... I was 3+ hours away from any cell service on a Wednesday (ghost town during the week), no GPS and no idea where i was going... I want to go back some day, but with better planning.
I took a few pictures of the trip. A bonus to the whole deal was that Pro Rock Racing Race to Riches was going at Rush that weekend so i drove on out to the event and spent a few days hanging out with my old friends. Its been several years since i got to spend any time wheeling and I needed this trip more than I realized.
Long story short, "Little Blue Truck" made the entire trip with no trouble at all and has since became my daily driver over my 2019 loaded out Power Wagon... My 2 girls would rather me pick them up from in school in this old truck than in my brand new truck...

That is exactly what I would have done. Except I would have broke something in Moab. What's the story on the TV?

Awesome trip, one of the best things I've read today. Thanks for sharing. How many miles are on this truck?

Sometimes it's hard to believe what our parents and their parents used to travel across the country in. Heck that's a 27 year old truck and you drove 3,000 miles across country in it no problems. Impressive.

I'm not really sure, the previous owner said around 150,000 but the speedometer doesnt work and it has digital odometer that is blank so i have no idea actual miles.

Sounds like ya need sell those damn old dodges and stay Ford. Love the Bronc on the trailer. My favorite body style, awesome story and thanks for sharing.
